A designer of grass sports surfaces, Hewitt Sportsturf, has worked alongside fencing manufacturer, CLD Fencing, to design a bespoke solution which meets Tottenhamâs need for maintenance-friendly fencing with a clean design around the training pitches, besides a ball-stopping system. Hewitts has tailor-made sports rail solutions for Spursâ training ground using CLD Fencingâs Dulok Rebound fencing around the artificial grass pitches, ball-stop netting systems and associated fencing and gates. John Hewitt, managing director of Hewitts Sportsturf, says: âWe used CLD Fencingâs pedestrian hand rail at 1.1metres high and within that, incorporated a ball stop net 40 metres behind each goal post at both ends to prevent the balls from going on to other pitches. A lot of sites have problems fitting nets to ground level as they are difficult to keep under control and the lower parts of the net arenât strong enough to take the power of the ball from the back of the goals. CLD Fencing supplied us with a solution that completely surrounds the pitch with a 1.1metre rebound panel at the base, integrated into a steel pole fence with clean detail.â And CLD Fencing adds that the exclusive design was especially made for Hewitts to fit the specific pitch requirements at Spurs training gound and is more robust than normal. Hewitt adds: âWe have a long-standing relationship with CLD Fencing and appreciate the work they do for our bespoke designs. We expect that the same detail on the fences will be used for the foreseeable future on other projects.â More about CLD Fencing at www.cld-fencing.com or call the Cheshire-based head office on 01270 764 751. http://www.professionalsecurity.co.uk/news/case-studies/spurs-fence/ ------------------------------------------------------- So what do we think of this news, does it mean Lloris is off in the summer?
Not sure if it's quick enough off the line to replace Lloris though. Did you find my post... offencive?
No offence but I don't get this? Just seems a weird topic for a thread Is this a joke that I'm too thick to get?
No, just a big fan of theirs. The joke was in the title. It's an article I saw on NewsNow about our fencing around the pitches to stop the ball flying away... so basically a shot stopper and that term is also used for 'keepers. And now I've explained it I've realised I'm not funny
Can't believe you're all fencing around on this topic. I mean no offence guys, I'm trying to sit on the fence here but you're all looking pretty damn stupid.
That fence is about as much use as a chocolate teapot with the way most our squad balloon their shots over the bar
ohh my eyes have deceieved me...perspective was all wrong...I thought that was a picture of it taken from distance of the Amazon and the green grass was actually the tops of trees and the fence was about 2000 feet high. must read accompanying article next time.
Derek Asamoah doesn't need a fence to stop his balls. His balls go where he wants them to- every time!
