The online shop are an absolute disaster Kilburn. The order is processed by some company in Oldham. I could be here all night complaining about them. I am waiting for them to process a credit of £101 for a cancelled order. They expect it will take them 28 days to process the credit. It doesn't take them 28 days to process the charge. I will never buy anything from them online again. Flyer was right to advise you to buy a bigger size then you normally would as the sizes are very small fitting. I hope you have better luck with your order than I did.
I took part in the pre-order and looked at my account yesterday to see what the status was and all it said was due for despatch on 7th August!! So I emailed them and lo and behold it was depatched today.
I just received my order last week after being told dispatched on 7/8. it took phone call Monday where they said would look into. later same day they left message on voicemail to confirm shirt lost in post, then told me payment verification had failed so hadn't been charged so would have to reorder. Obviously had advance order discount so rang back and spoke to very nice girl who put order through with discount and got shirt sent through tracked delivery so I got it Friday. Service is poor but actually when rang second time was happy with way dealt with I didn't moan to much(I normally would have had a go and asked for further discount). The girl also told me they had a load of problems with the payment system and her manager had emailed about 60 people to explain to reorder. I got a Xxxl so maybe they are just targeting us fatties!
While i work in Toronto, I make my home in a smaller city called London. It is about equal in popukation to Ealing. To boot, our postal codes here are based on the British model except that regions get the first letter rather than take the first two letters name of the city, or one nearby London Ontario is in southern Ontario, where the postal codes just by chance happen to start with "N". We are N5 which looks for all the world like Highbury, Islington and such. We have had some significant difficutlies with gift shop orders although Mrs Maple tells me that they are better now than they once were. An even more inept crew were the box office - the last time I ordered match tickets, they never arrived. I ended up trelling from brother-in-law's in Lewisham down to the box office to get duplicate tickets. When we got to the match, it was a beautiful sunny day, with a temperature around 24. The seats we had were exactly one seat off midfield and front row, Ellerslie Rd side. It is only regrettable that the match did not live up to the day ar the seat (QPR 1-1 Posh). The Posh scored a second in injury time which was called back for offside. Mrs Maple claims to this day that it was not offside - I didn't know until then that she even knew the offsude rule!
Routledge scored our goal if I remember correctly. I was there with a mate who supports Peterborough. Everyone near us in the South Africa Road stand worked it out pretty quickly and all turned to look at him when their second goal was ruled out. Didn't Ben Watson present them with their goal? I've never had any trouble with the box office and they were very good about trying to organise a block of tickets for the 14th, their technology wasn't up to it though.
I agree - it was unfair to blame the box office for Canada Post's folly in using N5 in the postal code for London, Ontario. i don't believe there is another Canadian code that looks so much like an English one, in a city having a copied name like this. And to be honest, once they saw about the ticket they were very professional about the duplicate (the lass's name was Holly if anyone knows or had dealings with her).
I have always found the online shopping people easy to deal with with problems sorted via e mail I do think the postage costs are a bit steep though the shirt sizes are a joke
I ordered home and away jerseys on Sunday, not a word since. I would have thought they would be dispatched by now. Just checked and its order status 85
Shipping and handling £5.00 overseas (Canada) is actually very reasonable, if they would just send me the damn shirt I ordered July 20th! For my last shirt order many years ago, it was something like £17.99
Question to online store - "Could please explain what is going on as I ordered this shirt July 20th. Friends of mine overseas are experiencing similar difficulties? You are saying that my order has just been accepted some 6 weeks after I placed order? Please investigate and let me know when I should expect my shirt to arrive." Response - " I am sorry for the delay in your order but we had a shortage in the delivery of stock. Stock is expected on 6th September and should be despatched shortly after that. I apologise for the disappointment this has caused. Kind regards Carole Shenton Customer Services"
thanks Finglas, i'm a bit round in the belly but still fit into a large! Hopefully they are the same fit as last season I got a mail tonight from the store late this afternoon, my away jerseys has been dispatched and the home one should be in on the 6th
I usually buy my kids the current kits and have never had a problem ordering on line. Folks back home tend to send my the seasons shirt. Maybe it is just for the "larger" people that there is a problem !!
At 6' 1" - 250 lbs, I am certainly a little overweight, but don't really consider myself a porker - normally I wear a 2XL shirt , but Flyer suggested I should 4XL for this shirt. Well at least (and ditto for my dad and grandfather) I'm not short, fat & bald! Dad at 6' 2" maintained his weight at around 170 lbs through his whole life, but then he was a smoker and died of cancer of the oesophagus aged 77, incidently Sept 6, 1993 - the same day my shirt is hopefully getting shipped. The only time I remember Dad a little chubbier was when he attempted to give up smoking one summer and ate lots of sweets instead. My grandfather was likewise a smoker and died of throat cancer - the pair of them went through WWI and WWII, so I guess everyone smoked in that generation, to calm nerves, as you didn't know if you would still be alive the next day. Myself the 3rd generation R, missed a war, didn't smoke, but turned into a porker!
