Leicester City have made more additions to their off-field management team. City have announced the appointment of commercial director Laura Oakes and the promotion of Kevin Barclay to operations director, as well as giving the recently-appointed new finance director Simon Capper the additional role of company secretary. Oakes, who will join City on August 1, has been the managing director of her own sports sponsorship agency, EXP Sport, for the last three years and possesses a wealth of experience in the commercial industry. She is also a former head of sponsorship at Harlequins Rugby Club, sports sponsorship manager at Emirates Airlines, and commercial accounts manager at the International Cricket Council in Dubai and Monaco. She was also the Wales Rugby Union's business manager for women and girls' rugby. Barclay has been with City for a number of years and previously worked as the club's safety officer. New City chief executive, Susan Whelan, said: "It's important that the club has moved quickly at the beginning of pre-season to bring in more experience and expertise to several important managerial areas. Each of the new appointments has an excellent background and reputation in their relevant sector."
