Well there aren't any new posts today, in fact the last post was yesterday afternoon so thought I would destroy the silence.

Just to keep it football related:- the players are rubbish, the managers rubbish, the chairman's rubbish, booooooooooooooooo

OK. I feel better now the meds are kicking in. :emoticon-0110-tongu

It's been quiet right across the forums unless posting just general chat stuff. It's the lull before the storm or better known as the transfer window.

I think with a new manager coming in and needing time, with the team as a whole not performing well, I think discussions have exhausted every avenue and people's thoughts are more engaged in the usual madness associated with Christmas.

There are other topics around but i didn't want to annoy people by continually posting non Gills stuff. A couple that would be naturally top of my agenda would be Match Fixing...something where I want to see strong repercussions against those found guilty, another topic would be a typical one for me and the ever intrusive big brother on our game. Read recently how some Spurs fans were removed from a certain section of their ground for standing up and singing. Health & Safety reasons given again! Quite ironically I've been following some of the stuff going on abroad recently in other grounds re crowds, Pyros the lot, proper atmosphere. I suppose football in the UK has been taken over by the so called 'family atmosphere' where if you dare breath a line out of controlled context, you will be jumped all over by the thought police. Oh someone might get injured and die, well despite that lino being hit by a pyro and being played to death on TV, the only thing that did die was another expression of human foolishness. I never thought I would live to see this day come but sadly in the UK we have, before long future generations will be micro chipped and performing like robots...you think I'm joking...seriously do you think I'm joking? Government restrictions will hold no bounds, next up is going to be controls on our social media, the few worst case scenarios being used as big brother propaganda to wield the hammer on us all....and you can be sure the Daily Malice will be lurking some where in the background...well we all know how the Malice hates the playing with anything of a circular circumference, apart from its own balls.

I think there is enough in there for people's thoughts for a day...lol

    brb,
I can give you some of my meds if you need them, and after that little rant you definitely need them.

People have become like sheep mate, they don't question anything any more. Some guy in Medway fined over £400 quid for not paying an £80 fine for dropping a cigarette butt. Some place, some where now fining people for spitting in the street. Yeah ok, I certainly don't like seeing people spit (disgusting habit) in the street and yes I do drop my cigarette butts but come on people, like I always say for one rule created another is sure to follow, time and time again.

Anyway what was it you said was in the Chairman's notes about him wanting people to stand up and sing, well maybe the club should promote that for the day and see how long it takes the thought police to close down the stadium!

Your right grumpygit...I need some meds now...you got any morphine...lol

send me a PM mate once things are confirmed as on. Suppose I better try and prepare my questions tomorrow. Won't get time Saturday with the game. Might not be a good idea to meet Mr Chairman blindly and blag things the way I normally do in life...lol

grumpygit If that is all you have got to say, then it's going to be a long and quiet journey on the coach to Merseyside next Friday.
