New Players

I know its my 2nd article in a matter of minutes but I haven't had a lot of time for footy chat, what with having a young baby and what not

What do you think of these possiblities below, I planned it out in my head (very immaginative lol)

Release out of contract players - Sol Campbell, Shefki Kuqi, Ryan Donaldson and Matthiew Grieve as well as sending loan player Stephen Ireland back to Aston Villa

Let Wayne Routledge complete his move to QPR and Xisco to Deportivo (about £1.5m each)

Let Alan Smith join Rangers for a nominal fee/free transfer to get his massive wages off the bill (I say Rangers because he supports them and it would be a good move for all parties!)

Convince Ruud Van Nistelrooy that we are the club for him - he is 35 but still a world class goal predator (free transfer signing - hopefully agrees to £50k wage cap on a year deal)

Give Jose Enrique, Fabricio Coloccini, Jonas Gutierrez, Danny Simpson, Kevin Nolan, Joey Barton, Shane Ferguson new long term contracts

Nottingham Forest come sniffing for Danny Guthrie and we let him go because we want Chris Gunter in exchange (straight swap - good move for both parties IMO - we got wrong Forest right back last season!!)

Since we have enough right backs, we let James Perch complete a £750,000 move to newly promoted Reading as well as letting Fabio Zamblera move back to Italy with Parma and Ben Tozer complete a move to recently relegated Scunthorpe (both nominal fees)

We sign Matt Phillips, an exciting young winger from recently relegated Blackpool for £2.5m with Nile Ranger also moving to Blackpool on a season long loan. We also risk a massive bid on talented young Ipswich striker Connor Wickham (£10.5m after add ons) he signs a 5 year contract

We still want more strikers so we complete signing of Aston Villa's Gabriel Agbonlahor to add pace to our attack - he joins for £8million

We believe that Steven Taylor is fit and back to his best so he is 1st choice centre back to partner Fabricio Coloccini next season - but we need competition so we sign West Ham's James Tomkins for £3.5m, a good young signing!

Since Smith move to Rangers we need another defensive midfielder, so we sign Wigan's Mohamed Diame for £1.5m to add competition

We also let Phil Airey join Hartlepool on loan, Huddersfield get a double loan signing of Haris Vuckic and Tamas Kadar to help them in Championship - Kazenga LuaLua rejoins Brighton on loan, James Tavernier goes to Carlisle on loan with Fraser Forster joining newly promoted Premier League side Norwich on loan. Dan Gosling needs match fitness so we let him join Derby on loan for the first 3 months of the season

I remember when Villa nearly got Champions League - Agbonlahor, Carew, Young up front. I would like Agbonlahor, Van Nistelrooy, Jonas with Ben Arfa behind them. I think his pace would scare defences and would score 10 goals or more

 

Change Agbonlahor for Moussa Sow and change Diame for that Kenyan DM. Other than it seems good! I like how detailed your plan is!

Haha, I have a Villa mate who loves Agbonlahor, so I have it in my head that he would be a good signing

Big no to now average Nistelrooy, he is far from World Class now and I think he would be the wrong player to bring to club and will want stupid wages as well as being on the wrong side of 30.
I agree with the players leaving though, just not the ones coming in.
