    Well perhaps not brand new.

We have 4 players out with longish term injuries. Dikjacoi, Pilkington, Mason and Turner.

Turner will be out for a while but no recent news on the others. To have them all fit and in the form they are capable of would be a huge boost to the squad and create quality competition for places.

    Anyone heard anything.

Watching Villa v Leicester at mo. 2 poor sides but Villa seem to have adopted our tactics. Pretty clueless. Benteke was a £20m plus player a year or so ago. Be lucky to get £5m now. Sherwood has a tough job on his hands.

Pilkington and Mason will come back this season.

We could have Messi and Ronaldo and wed still get relegated with Slade.

Bit worried about Pilks for this season. It's a lot to do with the time he takes to get back up to speed after any sort of layoff, let alone the length of this one.

Great pity because he was getting stuck in for the games before he went off at Watford. He'd come to us seriously unfit (match fit that is) and took the best part of a dozen games before he got to that stage - it may be the same again when he does come back this time.

Mason could be the answer, but I'm not sure where he'd fit in right now with Doyle on board and the two big men up front as well.

Dikgacoi has been a full time disaster and Turner a part time answer, but I doubt we'll see either of them this year. If we do need them to come in it'll be too late by then and Slade will straw clutching if he's still here.

As for Slade himself, well we all know he needs time......................about 10 years in the Scrubs should do it.
