Watched Julián Speroni over many years, from Dundee to Palace and he is the best keeper in the Championship. I like Kenny, but Speroni is a much better keeper and I'd love to see him in a Leeds team.
Got to say that I'm perfectly happy with Paddy. Why fix something if it ain't broke. Btw Boab, I thought you ranted vociferously that this is the worst Leeds team you've ever seen. And you're only suggesting one change?
Just quietly commencing my players opinion. I stand by everything I have previously stated. As a side issue, Kenny was pish poor against Chelsea, perhaps that was the real Kenny.
If that was the case, then the hotel in Dubai I watched it from, didn't say that. Sorry but not being in the UK much lately, means I rely on what the media state. I have to say, I didn't notice it wasn't Kenny, perhaps that says more about my impression of him.
No-one cares about getting a new keeper, and rightly so. We've had no problems there. A midfielder is the real priority, along with the existing loanees (although I'm not totally taken by Tate and see Tonge as a rotation player, it must be said). People are unrealistically asking for someone like Faurlin, that's the sort of player we should be after. Bit of pace up front too, I suppose. There must be some African gentleman we can sign for that purpose.
It gets better by the minute Boab, it was on live out here (i am 280 miles up the coast from Dubai) so you are contradicting yourself somewhat, as the coverage was Aljazeera and was show all over the middle east, and in English. I think the commentator we John Champion and he comes across as a favourite towards Leeds.
Was there no picture either or can you not tell the difference between Kenny and ashdown. You deserve an award for that daft post
As for Speroni, he let a really soft goal in through his legs against Udders yesterday - or did you think that was Paddy Kenny as well Boab?
J'sus, you lot find the most little of things amusing. So ****ing what I stated Kenny when it was Ashdown. I really wasn't paying too much attention to the game, as I was with a large group of people, so I missed the fact that it was Ashdown playing and not Kenny. Big WOW. As for Kenny, I stated I liked him, however I reckon we should always go for the best players and Speroni is the best in the league.
I was once with a large group of people in a pub in Winchester. They were nearly all Arsenal fans. I managed to focus fully on the game (although barely able to stand), and made my feelings very clear throughout the match. We got Bowyer & Mills sent off that night, but still won it. I was one of only 3 Leeds fans there (there was a young couple). There wasn't a cheep out of the Arsenal fans all night (well not after I got started). Point of this story? Despite the overwhelming numbers and intimidation, I supported my team, because I was a fan, wanted to watch it, and wanted to openly support my team. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I claimed to be a Leeds supporter , didn't reconise my #keeper, and said it was because 'I was with a large group of people'. Why not just simply say that you're really not that interested in Leeds?
We don,t need another keeper but we do need another striker Chris woods comes to mind and I have written to NW urging him to buy him in the Jan sales at !m he would be a steal only 21 as well
Too right. I could be with the Brazilian Women's Volleyball team, but if Leeds were on the telly I'd be watching Leeds on the telly.
