If all of our new boys were to make starting debuts today, at the expense of the players from last year, who do you think deserves the go ahead?

    Gabbidon v Hall/Gorkks
Dyer v Derry/Orr (depends where Dyer is likely to play)
    Bothroyd/Campbell v Helguson

Brian Murphy is a no-brainer against Paddy.....

    Thoughts?

Most papers reckon Jay and DJ will both start, either are likely to score more than HH but HH gives a lot to the team up front.

Dyer will start ahead of Orr

Gabbidon will be in for Gorkss who is the subject of a £750k bid from the Saints, we've quoted them £1million.

Warnock is the best judge, leave it to him...

What about the three forward players mentioned above, HH. Jay and DJ is that they are all different types of player that bring different "things" to the team, and allows NW to mix and match and change whenever he feels necessary.

I also saw that Saints had bid for Gorkss - have to say I am disappointed we couldn't find the £1.8 mill for Danny Fox whom they have just signed from Burnley.

Agree with DJ and Jay up top but i think H will have a role to play.
Quite a good option to have a player like H to come on and win a few balls in the air and hopefully get the odd goal.

I wouldn't pick Gabbidon ahead of Hall or Gorkks. Have to believe both Bothroyd and DJ Campbell will start. That means that if Dyer is to play it would have to be at right back. The line-up ahead of the back four will include Derry, Faurlin, Taarabt, Bothroyd, Smith, DJ Campbell in whatever formation. Derry deserves a start as he was one of our best three players last season (others Kenny & Taarabt). Does Orr deserve to start and if found wanting Dyer to step in? Does Dyer have history of playing at right back?

We can bring Dave on when we are 3 or 4 up with 10 minutes to go to give others a rest and those in attendance a laugh.
