Agents trying to make money, and journo's writing ****e...

SUNDERLAND boss Martin O’Neill insists he has not even started looking for the players he may try to sign during the January transfer window.

The Black Cats tonight play their fourth game in the 18 days since O’Neill was named as successor to Steve Bruce.

An away defeat at Wolves was followed by a dramatic home win over Blackburn and then last weekend’s 2-1 defeat at Spurs.

With games coming thick and fast, the Sunderland manager says his schedule has been hectic, not helped by being “inundated” with possible candidates.

He said: “I have not had time to start looking at players.

“That doesn’t mean I haven’t been inundated with agents calling, inventing players as they normally do, even players who don’t belong in their books.

“But from that viewpoint, nothing has changed. I will see how things develop.

“But we have got a squad here and if nothing happens, then I would be happy to work with it.”
