don't panic! Ehab will have learnt his lesson & will just be asking an extra £5.5 million for the SMC
After Saturday Ehab most probably would raise the asset value of the playing squad under contract! Should be a quick exercise given they aren't many of them!
This personal bitterness is a little sad. It's better to keep this on new owners news, if you want to trade common insults try it down the pub?
That makes no sense at all. If they will not buy the club unless they can buy the stadium, then why on earth would they make the same mistake as the Allams and buy the club in the belief HCC will sell to them, only then to be disappointed. Why do they need the permission of the Allams to negotiate a pre-sale contract with the HCC? I would love to know your logic in this?
The Chinese may have signed a confidentiality clause which excludes them from talking to anybody about the sale, including the council. I don't think they want the stadium. They want a football club. The discussion about the freehold is a red herring in my opinion. If they only want a football club its in their best interests to get rid of the current lease, wind-up the SMC after paying all the debts and hand the stadium back to the Council. They can then pay a reduced rent for its use. If they negotiate a pre-sale agreement with the Council the value of the SMC goes up prior to them buying it.
They could talk to the council without discussing the purchase of the club, I'm sure they're free to talk to them should they wish.
Wait and see is the best option, as you can't really not understand something that's a guess anyway. They will have a plan and you aren't privy to it!
Getting fed up of this waiting game. Just seen the tweet about tickets for the Man U game. "The Tigers" v Man United. Just made me so angry. What an absolute cheek to keep on using this name when they have been told they cannot change it. One thought did cross my mind though, what if the new owners like the name Hull Tigers and continue to use it. If there are any new owners that is. I know not many will agree with me but I don't like the idea of new owners owning the stadium unless there is a rock solid agreement that it will always be the home of Hull City. Another thing, where are the new players we keep being promised. Fantastic as the team played on Saturday how long can they keep that up. Just so bloody fed up of it all.
I tend to agree Jules. Like I said a few days ago, and I hope i'm wrong, but this bullshit could still be ongoing at Xmas. Just get it sold and get our season going.
I fear we might yet reach 250 pages on this thread... hopefully something like page 210 onwards will be ones saying hallelujah or words to that effect...
It's pathetic, childish, antagonistic bollocks. Every day they post everything as The Tigers, refusing ever to use Hull City and as a consequence the poor bloke running the social media gets nothing but abuse. Literally every single comment on the club's timeline is now abuse, how ****ing dim do you have to be to carry on doing it?
I just need to give my boots a good dubbin and I'm ready to go. Could do a job across the back line or a holding midfield role. Box to box midfielder if I cut back on the salt and pepper chicken wings. Just say the word Mr Phelan.
