I never saw Assem Allam at Boothferry Park in the late 1980s, so he is certainly partially to blame for low crowds.

I would guess that fuel is cheaper in the Dominican republic than Florida.

    Imagine 3 apartments
    It's easy if you choose
    One to live in
    One for fur coats
    And another one for shoes...

(Elton John after finding out the Lennons who had prattled on about the evils of consumerism had bought another apartment in their expensive building to ensure Yoko's fur coats were kept at the optimum temperature)

Remember when the deal was done at the end of November? :emoticon-0102-bigsm

This media expert sure likes creating tension and excitement, waited nearly 6 weeks for the perfect time for a press release.

Your last paragraph is exactly why I put from an owner's POV.... From our fans and football fans in general, the running from a purely football side has been poor since they closed the wallet.

Having said that, I would take our position now as opposed to Derbys or clubs like sheff weds etc.

I will be as happy as anyone ( from a fans pov ) when the allams finally go. But there will always be a part of me that will be worried that the financial security we have now will soon be gone, especially if the new owner/s start using loans and other forms of finance and we potentially owe millions to institutions ( and the owners lose interest ) as opposed to just to our owner ( who would lose that money of anything was to ever happen ).

The simple over riding fact for me though is, it's time for a change

The longer this goes on the more detrimental this is going to be for City. 16 days to the end of January and the end of the transfer window. City's prospect of bringing in new players stuck between two sets of owners-the current owners and of course the potential new one. Both camps seemingly have a foot stuck literally not in the door but the window, Ehab seemingly trying to get out and Acun trying to get in, with again if we believe what we read the EFL holding the window shut. This three way tug has come at the worst time with City in a relegation fight and in need of reinforcements. McCann is watching all this again seemingly completely in the dark with the curtains closed, battling on regardless, unsure who is captaining the rudderless ship powerless to do little. No wonder there are reports that the people that work at City have concerns for their livelyhoods. it would behoove Assam and Ehab to put out a statement clarifying the situation: are we only waiting for the EFL or is negotiation still going on. And if its the former for the EFL to send the lifeboats, right the ship, approve the deal and put us all out of our misery.

Grant knows what's going on, he's just doing what every manager does in this situation and concentrates on the footballing side in public

Agree totally with the statement concept... Along the lines of ' we know as Hull City supporters you are all anxiously waiting for news. Please be assured that both the selling and buying parties have concluded their negotiations... etc etc '

    Agree with this.
Unreasonable to expect day by day updates, but you would think it reasonable for 'the club' to give an update now and then especially at key milestones.
But the Allam's don't give a damn about fans. I'm sure if they did, they could readily agree joint statements with Acun.
Re. TOM's post with theories. From the little that has found it's way out through the media, and from Acun's recent comments, it sounds to me more likely theory number 2 "My second theory is that the tough negotiations were very tough...". It sounded clear enough that the paperwork has only recently been submitted.
Then, I wait with bated breath for the logic to unfold re. UP's post about how the Allam's have had the clubs best interests at heart all during this etc etc!! It looks more like they have been once again playing with fire, putting the sale and the clubs league standing at high risk once again; meaning protracting negotiations so that we are where we are now - 11 business days left before the end of January, when we are in a relegation battle with a wafer thin senior squad.
Unless the sale is literally on the verge of being announced, somebody surely now needs to come out and say something official.

If people are comparing him to Simon Cowell, no wonder they're taking their time before they give him the nod.

Anyway, is achtung coming tomorrow, or what?
