    Morning Stokies one and all,

I mentioned yesterday that my new supply of Oatcakes arrived (thanks to the Staffordshire Oatcake Company - highly recommended for all expats and quite reasonably priced).

Anyway, I was still in a state of shock after the revelations on this board, so following the old adage - "An Oatcake a day keeps the doctor at bay", I used 6 Oatcakes lightly grilled with a filling of left over Italian Meatballs in my homemade sauce, thinly slice the meatballs, reheat in microwave for 10 seconds, put into 2 lots of 3 Oatcakes, roll up and eat, well after the first one, throw the second one away!!!

Do not try this at home:emoticon-0119-puke::emoticon-0119-puke::emoticon-0119-puke::emoticon-0119-puke:

Hey ho have a good day

Jub - as said, Staffordshire Oatcake Company, google them for website.

12 Oatcakes for £5.35 including 1st class postage - and I'm not on commission!!

Pass the Oatcakes gave me the info, I think that these guys deserve all the ex-pat business we can give, perhaps we can then get a discount!

Believe it or not Jub, until I got the first batch from Staffordshire Oatcakes, I had NEVER tasted one in my albeit short life<whistle>!!!!!!!

So I cannot make any comparisons, from what I have heard, they are not too bad, better than the Tesco's offerings by all accounts. Mind you I cannot see them under Tesco's Best Ever Brand - whatever don't ever try them with left over reheated meatballs!!

I`m Spartacus,The oatcakes I get from Tesco in Wrexham are from The North Staffs co and I don`t know if that`s the same co.that you sent away to,but if it is then they are charging you £3.85 for postage!! They cost 75p for half doz.,in fact they suddenly shot up from 50p about 3 months ago and I was so incensed I rang up Radio Stoke to ask what the prices were in Stoke, but nobody there seemed to know! Anyway they are delicious, especially with cheese between 2 and Smoked bacon and tomatoes!! :emoticon-0125-mmm:
