Alright, very pleased with the start. There is no doubt we need to strengthen the squad if we want to stay up the top portion of the table. It has gone very quiet. I assume we are now looking at a couple of loans. Anybody heard anything?
It's quite possible MM is happy with what he has currently got, based on the games played so far and what he has seen in training. Certainly a better start than many thought, even me if I am being honest. Not saying Cardiff don't need to get other players, maybe they do but I am not in a position to say if that is the case or not.
Siam, It looks like Malky is waiting until the prem clubs pick their 25 then get a few quality players either on loan or bought cheap.
That is a distinct possibility but you wont be the only one's scrambling to get players as I am sure you are well aware. Seems a very hit or miss way of going about getting the 'right' players.
Maybe I should have put my last post better, I can't see Malky doing anything without thought, he will have a list of players he wants and possibility already sounding out teams. Because all the Prem teams would have picked their 25, Cardiff will be in the top 5 or 6 clubs that these players will want to go and most of the Prem teams will want to save wages. It's only my opinion though.
It's both a reasonable assumption and opinion, must admit it I was not thinking along the the lines of already having sounded out already - I guess that's why I never made it in football management
Nice logical reasoning there Rhondda....makes me feel much better. I still think we are 2 or 3 short!
Rhondda, you sneaky thing, I read the report too about having already talked to clubs and sounded out players. lol Nice one!!
Well, last night showed we have deficiencies. I stated about 3 weeks ago that MM has made good signings but not outstanding ones. We have a team that will probably mature very well, but may not get the job done this season. Would like 2-3 players who can give us a solid defense, and some toughness plus skill in the middle and out wide. (Bellamy).
Siam. How do hear the game in the Far East? There is pretty good live exchange of views on the Wales Online site if you are interested. You can interract with the journalists and other supporters. A few more ex pats on there on matchdays would make the experience even better.
That should not be hard to figure out, any manager worth his salt will be in touch with Clubs, Players & Agents. When the Prem lists of 25 go in there will be clubs wanting to chop their wage bill. Hope there a few bargains that we can buy and a few more we can loan.
