It would seem Mick has moved quickly to replace NRC...

Very happy with this, very good age and experience and ready to make the step up and hopefully prove himself.

Not an all action player but paired with either N'Diaw or Hyam he could be the creative midfielder we've been crying out for for some time.

I've heard very mixed things about this guy, although he fits the mould we're looking for, i.e a young player from the lower leagues. Apparently good at set pieces and certainly Mick seems to deliver quickly again where we need to strengthen!!

As I say I've heard very mixed things, I've heard a few Colchester fans really don't rate him and believe he's nowhere near championship level but then I've heard others say he's their best player, so who knows, I'm sure Mick and TC will get the best out of him!!

You'll always get mixed opinions from supporters. But this lad looks like he'll offer us a bigger goal threat from midfield than NRC. Seems he was attracting interest from other championship teams to. Hopefully at 200 k this may turn out to be a bit of a coup. I also understand mick is looking at mark yeates at Watford too.

Having a set piece specialist is something we have been missing for a long time, seems very promising.

I’d mentioned him before as a potential signing as one of the (so I thought) standout players from league one, but then again I’d always thought he was a wide midfielder – apparently not so what do I know?

I’ve had a swift look at Col U message boards and the opinion seems to be he’s a bit of a raving nutter looking a red card wherever he goes. Very talented on his day but prone to going missing for games at a time save for trying to get booked.

MM and TC are the guys to sort him out – discipline, attitude and consistency sounds like what he needs to be a very good player. For 200K it might be some very good business.

So long as he can play a bit as well as strike a decent dead ball then he is more than welcome to join Big Micks Tractor Revolution.

Exactly the type of player we should be signing. I've watched this kid play a number of times and he has always impressed me with his wand of a left foot. Another cracking signing and at £200k a great bargain. Wordsworth has had a number of Championship clubs after him Palace, Charlton and Brighton so this will be another cracking piece of business by Mick. I hope we get this done quickly so that we can get him in to replace Martin.

Do you think he'll be used on the LW or CM? He's been playing CM more recently after starting off on the wing hasn't he??

I'd imagine currently he'll go CM because I just can't see how long term Hyam and N'Daw can play together as a first choice partnership.

After watching that clip he reminds me very much of Chris Brunt, which can't be a bad thing.

Rumour also has it we're about to sign Lee Camp, if we get these 2 in I'll be very pleased and we'd be a LW or CM away from a decent team dependant on where Wordsworth plays.

More of a LW Ithan a CM, definately a left sided midfielder. He is definately ready to make the step up to the next level and he will have a point to prove.

If the rumours are right about mark yeates that could be our cm ptc. Good championship experience. Right age. Mick seems to be pulling off some good promising signings.
