If Bruce leaves or gets the sack, city should hire Ange Postecoglou, he likes to play attacking football.
This is oh so true 'brian' but to do that he would need some attacking footballers and we ain't got none. Great win tonight against Harry Redknap's Jordon international team (5-1) and good to see Tim Cahill up front.
If we "ain't got none" we must have some. Of course with or without attacking players, playing the equivalent of North Ferriby every week would assist in adding to our already competitive goal difference.
Sadly Ben, North Ferriby are not in the Championship. Perhaps we should invite Bangladesh who Jordon beat 8-0 in it's previous game.
That's the point, Australia choose to play in a different Continent's qualifying stage so as to enhance their chances of qualification, in that they get to play nothing better than Mickey Mouse teams along the way. They still struggle. Scoring a few goals against the likes of Kyrgystan, Tajikistan, Bangladesh & Jordan (who beat Australia) doesn't mean he's a manager who plays attacking football. It does mean at the height of his career he's managing a two bob International team beating teams that are absolute ****. He's not got the experience to manage North Ferriby, never mind be considered for us.
I never said he was - the Opening Poster (Brian) did! You do have a habit of taking peoples posts out of context Ben. The reason Australia are in this group is that they used to finish up having to play a 2-leg qualifier against the likes of Argentina to qualify for the World Cup. The 'Powers that Be' determined it would be fairer if they joined the Oceania (?) group. The "Socceroo's" play a friendly against England at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland later this year. Brian will have a field day if you don't manage to win.
NP would drive the crowds to even lower levels. Those that remain must be seated in West Upper for safety in case of one of Nigel's rages
He'll get you out of the Championship and keep you in the Premier League while ensuring that your club is in tip top condition off the field.
Brian "If Bruce leaves or gets the sack, city should hire Ange Postecoglou, he likes to play attacking football." Tigerpoo "This is oh so true 'brian' but to do that he would need some attacking footballers and we ain't got none." You agreed with Brian that he likes to play attacking football. Was he playing attacking football in 2014? P11, W1, D2, L8. Goals for 11 (6 of those came in two games, one of which, he lost), goals against 22. They've scored a few over the last 12 months, or so, because, like I said, they've played the International Football equivalent to North Ferriby. You made a statement that was bollocks & didn't make sense "to do that he would need some attacking footballers and we ain't got none" Australia asked numerous times to play in other area's qualifying stages to make it easier for them to qualify. It wasn't to make it fairer, it was to make it easier & it was thought accepting them would economically benefit the AFC. Play offs against Scotland, Iran, a poor Uruguay & Argentina are hardly all "like" Argentina.
I remember the two bob team beating England in England. I raised the point because he at least gets his two bob players to win games.
