Rumours are that Derby are going to ask to speak to John Eustace at Blackburn. Doing a good job and an ex player so I can see why we want him but why on earth would he leave a top 6 team to join a relegation battle? Apparently Blackburn's owners are difficult but can they really be that bad? Time will tell but it seems weird.
Apparently Eustace isn't so far fetched. Feel for the Blackburn fans. Their club must really be a basket case for him to move here given the relative positions of the clubs. He'll have his work cut out at Derby to keep us up. We've got a couple of new signings and some important players back from injuries so results should pick up but we were always in a relegation battle and it's not like the players weren't giving it their all. There's not much to improve.
So we have our new manager, the players will now turn into world beaters, we'll play magnificent football and bring in all the kids.. Oh wait it's John Eustace! I expect more pragmatic football and hopefully we can amass enough points to stay up starting with our third game in a week tomorrow night away at QPR (absolutely ridiculous schedules these days)
