Lots of gossip going on in different places. The latest being that Warnock has left QPR and COULD be the man for the job, he has a house in Cornwall apparently. Thoughts on this should it happen? I can't help feeling that something is brewing management wise. I don't think that Ridders and Brent were sat together to discuss what they were given for Christmas somehow. I don't think we will have to wait long.
Oh no, a possible returning manager. we know what happened last time...............cue Jaws music. I'm going to leave all this on the rumour turntable I think. There must be some doubt about Fletcher's future and I read somewhere on a teletext today that Warnock said his job was on the line. Could it be all true????????
Well Warnock has been sacked-shame for the guy, given his achievements there. He has said clearly when he retires after QPR being his last job he would help Argyle out.Must say it's not beyond the realms of fantasy that he might be persuaded to agree to manage Argyle to the end of the season,to keep us in the league.Top man.
Not only cue Jaws music but is that a fin I see alongside a ripple in the water? He wouldn't half shake a few feathers here wouldn't he............
I would love Warnock to come back he always said he would manage Argyle again and then retire ! An added incentive would be he wouldn't have long to get to and from work every day
The other 2 boards are alive with this topic tonight and to be fair there is hardly a decenting voice on either of them which is unusual to say the least. The main thrust though seems to be we can't afford him so it can't happen. I don't see why not. Why would he neccessarily want bucket loads of cash? This is a guy who is pretty much set for life already and will receive another wedge of cash for his dismisal from QPR. He says he loves the club and also said as Gat points out that he would come back one day. Well if he is going to retire soon then now would have to be the time would it not. We all would take him at the drop of a hat despite the fact that Fletcher is a nice enough chap himself. But, since when has sentiment ever played a part in these sorts of things and there have been plenty who have bitten the dust who have been liked before. Time for Neil to back his statements and show it wasn't just talk.
Would be good all round if he was to return...Warnock is a fine experienced manager and we have now experienced players in the squad which are not playing together as one at times...to be honest Argyle should be mid-table area at least....maybe this league is tougher than we imagined so Warnock would be the perfect choice in my opinion...come on Neil, just think of all those Oggies you've been missing out on!
i hope you get warnock. last season barnet survived relegation by 1 point on 48 points. you need 50 at least, good luck
dont think its an issue of how much we can pay him in my opinon Sensible...i think warnock is one of those rare people who come along with a sense of loyalty rather than financial gain in their eye line. dont think fletch should have been put into an managerial role so early on. not so much an issue of his management as that he is a one of our best players and wont put himself on the pitch
