Taking another look at the press conference, he talks about selfish players, was that at a dig at Harry? Because if I was picking 1 player out yesterday as being selfish he would be the one. I know that his comments were quite generic and aimed at the team as whole, but picking a fight with the clubs talisman is a strange choice to me. The timing of this outburst with the international break and players being absent for the next 10 days is probably not a coincidence.

That's Conte taking a flight back to Italy this morning, apparently.
We need a manager that's not distracted by living half of his life in another country.

 

International break and a lot of players will be away so I don’t see this as an issue at all.

 

I see it as an obvious sign that he lacks the commitment that he accuses the players of lacking.
It's hardly surprising that's he's distracted when he family lives halfway across Europe.
It also makes it obvious that he's not here for the long-run, though that was clear from the start.

 

The issue is that he lambasted the club and players yesterday and then scuppers off to Italy the very next day, rather than attempt to resolve matters.

 

Spurs don’t play again until 3rd April, players are away for the international break. What could be done in the next few days?

 

Training with the remaining players? Sorting out his **** with Levy? Packing his bags?
What are the other managers doing?

 

I don’t know what other managers are doing but I really don’t see it as a big deal.

What’s to sort out with Levy? He’s got 10 games left and then gone in the summer. I think the club will let things play out.

We don't know how long he's gone for to be fair, but the majority of his squad and importantly the players not getting game time are still here and training normally. So he should be here, monitoring, mentoring and motivating.
As he has spent the best part of 2 months away since Xmas, this just sends out the wrong messages.

 

Son is extremely selfish imo and was the same yesterday from what I saw…only really attempts to pass when he is in a cul de sac and not when it’s the right time…a mopey demeanour unless it’s all going his way

we are in a **** situation so he should be here trying to sort it out imo

its fine to fly off if all is well

then again maybe he needs a bit of space
