I'm going with my little brothers quote Pearson after such a long wait. i just hope the wait is worthwhile.
Are any of that list ever going to consider us? We have always kept our heads buried deep in the sand, or something else less tasteful, when it comes to these situations and I don't have any problems with the need to keep some aspects of the club secret, but at least I would expect good news to come out the other end of the dark tunnel. Moyes - Pearson - Dame Nellie, in that order, but I question whether any of them have been approached yet alone meeting with BCFC.
Pearson followed by Moyes with Warnock 3rd would be my wish list. Not sure about Sherwood. Did a great job at Tottenham and was unfairly removed imho. I cant see most of that list applying for the position down here anyway tbh Mowbray will get Coventry up this year. Junior is doing ok at Barnsley after an awful start to the season. No thanks to Stuart Pearce. Utmost respect as a player but not as a Gaffer. Clarke
Sherwood his odds are dropping on odds checker and bet fair have him down to 20/21. Never see a poor bookie, they have Banksy's hard earnt money weekly of him
The deeper we go in to January then the more likely it becomes that it will be Pemberton. If we don't have a new guy in by close of business Weds night then it has to be Pembo, who else can come in and assess the players and what is required in enough detail ahead of the transfer window closing next Monday. This smacks of another Tinnion & Millen style appointment. I hope desperately that I am wrong, but we all know how our board works!!!!
The manager is so important, bring the right man in and the rest will fall into place. Hargraves/Lansdown would have top people running the business, why not BCFC.
Why? I think he would be suited to just coaching. Villa was never going to be good Learner wants out so he's stripping the club down. Spurs wanted to go for gold before they got bronze so onto a loser there after he done well as interim boss. Think it's transfer dealings let him down but coaching is ok. Odds are falling rapidly on little Lee, think Redprint will blow a gasket
I think it will be John Pemberton till the end of the season, if he keeps us up who knows, could turn out to be a very good manager, thoughts posters.
I'm on the Pemberton wavelength too. It all points in that direction and if our history is anything to go by then I think his appointment as manager will come down the pipe next week. I want to be proven wrong but I strongly believe that recruiting someone better equipped is highly improbable if not impossible. Good managers only want to sign with progressive clubs that have success in their DNA.
there is of course the other way to look at it .. maybe getting together a better! squad would be more of an enticement to someone new coming here? COME AND BE OUR MANAGER we have a squad of 17 ...... COME AND BE OUR MANAGER we have a squad of 23 ...... In either case, and at the end of the season £10m to spend ! well what would entice you!
