Think it's the old RB Leipzig gaffer going in. Think they're doomed though, too thin in the squad depth. Such a pity. Not.
I too hope they go down, not for the Leeds fans supporting their local team, but for all the Hull & ER Leeds fans who turned their back on their local club and took pleasure in our ****enss. But, that aside, crazy misjudgements if they do go down. They really should have kicked on from a good last season. Is it lack of investment from the owners or Bielsa's misguided stubbornness in believing a small squad would be ok?
Great stuff, I'm totally ripping up a White ****e supporting mate of mine with the above! He's from Kent with no family connection to Leeds!!
Okay I know I'm gonna slated for this ... and I hate the white shyte with a passion, but they'll regret getting rid of Bielsa, top top manager, who seems to have suffered due to Injuries in his first team. I say again, I'd have him here in a heartbeat.
Slated? Not by me. Though I think you may have overlooked the injuries probably came about as a result of playing Bielsa-ball. The non-stop pressing, high energy game looks to have taken its toll after three and a half seasons. Loyalty to the players who got them to the promised land, or a refusal to splash cash around in transfer windows has left a bare squad. It is all rather sad really. And I'm pissing myself laughing.
Reading their board, the back 3 Aiyling Cooper and one other asked him to change the playing tyke.... didnt go down well.
Shows even the top gaffers don’t abandon their principles. In the same way McCann didn’t here until he was forced. Bielsa has taken it to another level this season though in terms of conceding goals
The Bielsa fanfare has always been bizarre but I don't think he's done anything at Leeds to suggest he's a top top gaffer or anything close. He took Leeds up with a pretty big budget, and it took him two goes. Once they got up, they finished 9th but have subsequently struggled with 2nd season syndrome as have so many others. He's done a decent job, but not sure it's any better than Howe, Wilder, Bruce, Dyche and Wagner
The concept of him taking a mid table championship side to the premier league has been done countless times. His coaching style is superior to all you’ve named but his limitations lie in his methods, run that squad into the ground and now paying the price. If they’d had phillips and Bamford all season they’d be staying up comfortably. Glad they are injured though
It’s time British Clubs started appointing British Managers/Coaches again. Apart from the top 3 or 4 what makes them better? Serious question. Why can’t us Brits learn?
