According to Danish news Mr Khan has appointed a 'Chief Revenue Officer'

"The highest-placed Dane in international football, Casper Stylsvig, is leaving Manchester United and will now lead Fulham back to the Premier League

On Monday going Casper Stylsvig in the door to a whole new reality in London. Farewell to Manchester United, Old Trafford and Louis van Gaal and hello to Fulham FC, Craven Cottage and overlooks the River Thames. After eight years at Manchester United and position as the 'Global Sponsorship Director' at Manchester United, the 43-year-old Dane decided to leave the biggest budgets in the world's biggest football clubs and instead focus on a new vision. He gets a place in the club's board of directors
    ."

No idea the difference between this and 'Chief Finance Officer' or whether Ali Mac is staying. However, I suspect so; with Mac leading the Riverside Development and the new guy charged with bringing in new money. Guessing that because the Club have also advertised to recruit a new 'Head of Sales' with this remit:

    • The creation and implementation of a strategy for the sale of key commercial properties at the Club which includes shirt sponsorship, technical sponsorship, stand and/or stadium sponsorship and other commercial partnership opportunities
    • Work closely with the Chief Revenue Officer to develop existing, and create new, commercial properties to exploit through sales strategy and develop sales solutions which creatively communicate the unique sponsorship and partnership opportunities available at the Club
    • Meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets set by the Chief Revenue Officer by managing, maintaining and growing existing client/sales relationships and delivering further revenue streams from new customers.
Here's a link to the full ad for that one: http://www.fulhamfc.com/recruitment/head-of-sales

This all sounds very promising and proactive by Khan. But must say a shiver went down my spine when I read those words, "stadium sponsorship". They are free to do what they will with Visit Florida (whose contract is up for renewal at the end of the season) but even a whiff of touching the Cottage name ... :emoticon-0121-angry

It's a Chief Marketing Officer by a slightly different name. There's almost no overlap with the CFO position.

Now as it turns out I used to be an equivalent to that Head of Sales Post when I worked for BT. Should I apply, guys? I'd need relocation expenses, mind.

And on the naming thing. They can call it what they like, everyone else will still call it Craven Cottage - like everyone did with St James' Park, no one ever said "I'm off to the Sports Direct.com Arena", not even the commentators, so if it brought in revenue I wouldn't be dead against it.

I would presume that this guy has been brought in for his contacts, as having worked with Man Utd on their Worldwide base Khan wants to market us better. Making him a director says he will have some clout and the ear of the chairman over other personnel. As for the quote of 'going for the Premier next season' by him, he's obviously not a Football man.

He was also 'Regional Manager' at Barcelona for 2 years before going to United. Not sure what that involved but kind of reinforces that he knows his way around.

Presumably the Club have been waiting for Mr Khan's visit and End of Year Stocktake, before announcing our new Revenue Man. However it's now Official.

The Club statement doesn't really say anything that hasn't been already posted here but here's a link to it anyway:

Now I know why I didn't get the job. At Interview when they took my photo by the FFC Logo I gave them the big double thumbs up and "he-he, Magic" of Selwyn Froggatt. Didn't stand a chance against Mr Suave there, did I?
