Just reading through some corporate sponsorship info I managed to get hold of and it appears that two new LED big screens are being installed for the new season. Have often thought that the two screens are showing their age.

Sounds good, reckon they'll pretty much be the same though...

Great news! We'll be able to see 85 minutes of crap ads and corporate messages and a few seconds of completely irrelevant game time in much better quality!

Never used those screens for anything useful - complete waste of space if you ask me. Why not show the game and useful replays on them?

They show replays when the game is being shown on BBC or Sky.

They aren't allowed to show replays I believe. I always thought it would be better if they just put the team sheets up there, don't understand why they would show the recording of the game.

Good job to, remember the world cup in 2010 Argentina v Mexico, one of the goals was ruled offside and they showed the replay on the screen and everyone could see the linesman had made the wrong decision!

They are a good source of advertising revenue - 32,000 eyes for outdoor advertising, you might not like it but it is true.

Only thing I really use them for is to see the game clock.

Big screen technology has moved on a long way since 2001.

Yeah I do remember that, I think the goal was given to Tevez in fact even though he was five yards offside! All those Premier League refs we know and love will be back at St Mary's next year as well.

If you see the amounts of money quoted for different advertising packages you would soon realise that they certainly are not a 'waste of space'.

I only use them for the clock, however it obvious they were knackered last season some squares were purple!

I used the screen for the time and if the game was on TV, to see a replay that's about it and if I got there early (which was rarely, want to get there for 3pm and watch the game) I would watch the highlights and interviews.

I'm sure they have showed replays of shots and so on when I have been there, unless I'm confusing it in my mind with somewhere else.

The two other stadiums I went to last season, selhurst park and the emarites both had replays despite not being on tv. I'm pleased the screen as getting an upgrade. Some of the screen at other grounds look a lot slicker than ours

Swear Upton Park had replays too, definitely did at half time.

When we were in the prem last time, they always showed replays of the goals and stuff, just never contentious decisions. When we got relegated that all stopped. Hopefully they will be back again.
