New lease of life for Buzsaky

Midfielder impressed with changes since the arrival of Hughes

Akos Buzsaky is pleased to have a new opportunity to prove his worth at Queens Park Rangers under the management of Mark Hughes.

The Hungarian midfielder on Sunday started in the defeat at Newcastle in what was the first game of QPR's new regime.

Buzsaky had not been in the first XI since the defeat at Wigan on 27th August and the appearance at St James' Park was just his seventh of the season.

Having been forced into a fringe role under the previous management of Neil Warnock, the 29-year-old is happy to see Hughes giving all QPR squad members the chance to impress.

"From now, no-one has a guaranteed place and at last the line-up is named based on performances," Buzsaky told Nemzeti Sport.

    Intensity
"My team and I can also play better (than against Newcastle) and I'm sure that we will soon prove it.

"I was again in the line-up after the end of last August and I'm trying to do my best to repeat it many times."

Buzsaky is also impressed by an increased level of intensity under Hughes in comparison with Warnock.

"We were very tired after the training in the last days," he said. "That's why we got the wind knocked out of us after 20 minutes in each half against Newcastle.

"But no problem. The hard work will be beneficial. We'll be ready to play for 90 minutes and will start climbing up the table."
