Anyone heard any rumours/ seen any pictures of next year's strip? I remember Under Armour being fairly slow about this last summer.

A quick search brought me across this

Looks fake to me but I do think the 'sash' look might be a good change for a season, I was actually hoping for a sash before coming across this photo.

Feel free to discuss other teams kits etc...

Please no sash....at least not on the home strip.

I actually really liked this years, loved all of them, even the third one which grew on me greatly. I know a few people really disliked it though.

IMO the home kit should always be plain white with blue or white shorts and blue/white stripy socks. I just like the stripy ones haha. Deep blue works nicely for a change strip as ever. As long as we don't have a yellow or brown kit like a few years back I'll be happy. Not a fan of the one in the pic though WY. Going back to a crew neck rather than collar would be a nice change for variation's sake though.

Also I don't know if its already done but to have 'Audere est facere' or the English translation stitched somewhere on the shirt would be pretty cool, maybe subtly on the inside of the front so its what the players and fans see when they put it on.

Those Liverpool ones have to be a joke surely?

    Nope, they're genuine 'fro <laugh>

If we stuck with plain white every season I'm not sure the club would sell many kits! Got to make fairly significant design changes every year if they want people to buy the kits...

I read an article a few years ago written by some sport scientists which claimed that something as simple as a sash on the shirt can contribute to making a team harder to defend against. Something to do with the diagonal design suggesting movements which weren't actually taking place, thus causing defenders to misread split second situations. It's an interesting theory even if it's hard to prove. It's always struck me that the most successful teams in this country have historically always played in red... is this a factor in their success? I don't go along with the Tiger Woods theory of the colour red giving a mental edge to the wearer, but perhaps it is easier to spot on the field thus making it easier to see runs / find passes / make quicker decisions?
