Something on Facebook seems to suggest that our new kit for next season might include orange stripes (!) https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...071795895.6507.108857709161298&type=1&theater It's just a teaser image at the moment, but if this is what the club is planning I think it's ill-judged. White shirt, black shorts, feel free to play about with variations of black, white, red trim on either of the above, and personally I don't care what colour the socks are, but orange? Stripes? Grrrrr.
Why not white with no stripes instead? Red and white would make us look like Brentford, and this season isn't the time to be doing that. Well, there's never really a time for us to do that, but when we're in the same division as them for the first time in years would be particularly bad timing.
I was referring to the orange on the shorts. I'm hoping the stripes on the shirt are from an old shirt and not a preview of next year's one. We did have a striped kit from 85-87 which was just shaded stripes and that wouldn't be the worst. White shirt with orange stripes just doesn't work in any way whatsoever.
They're making a great play of 'Londons Original' saying (about the new kit), "We've captured our unique past but added a touch of the future". Well I'm all for the retro look but like others, orange is a definite NO! The Club have put out a short video (inevitably with "teaser" in the title) and featuring youngsters Woodrow, Dembele and Hyndman. Do you reckon their was a message behind featuring the 'kids' or were they the only ones around? I believe the Academy started pre-season training today.

It reminds me of the Real Madrid jersey from last year or the one before which was adidas and had a bright orange trim. It wasn't as prominent as ours is, hopefully it makes us play like them.

Here is the club shop, fully stocked with the new kit. The 'orange' is actually 'Adidas Infrared' and is the same shade as the one under the sleeves in our navy kit.
