Former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic has begun his defence at a war crimes court in The Hague. Mr Karadzic denies 10 charges of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity during the war in the 1990s. Addressing the court, Mr Karadzic refuted the accusations and said: "Instead of being accused for the events in our civil war I should have been rewarded for all the good things I've done." He had sought peace agreements, applied humanitarian measures and honoured international law, he said.
But he has competition: Britain's Audley Harrison is mulling over his future after being knocked out by David Price in the first round of their heavyweight contest on Saturday. The 2000 Olympic champion's challenge for Price's British and Commonwealth titles lasted only 82 seconds.
they'd be able to get a video link into Karadzic's cell to see the games i'm sure. Actually, torture has been outlawed by the UN
There was talk of giving the job to Ed Milliband but he declined on account that he is far too busy thinking up new ways of bankrupting the country!
Now Now thats not true, Milliband doesn't say anything! Unlike Davey Boy who is good at telling the rest of the world what they are doing wrong but on the home front ????????
...or that when times are hard, we actually support our club. perhaps some of you could learn a thing or two from us. if you go down this year, do you think you'll be getting 25k at home to the likes of walsall? or will you struggle to get to 10k? *edit. that was a genuine question by the way - came across a little snooty
The feeling is mate that if we do go down and more importantly we get a change in manager then the supporters will return in greater numbers. There are many like me who have not renewed and will not set foot back into Portman Road until Jewell has gone. Ideally we want Clegg to walk as well but we recognise that miracles may take a little longer! As a club we have been dieing a slow death for the past 10 years but if the worst happens the supporters will rally round.
understandable of course. my guess is that despite it only taking maybe four or five years for crowds to dwindle, it will take at least double that time to entice them all back, maybe even longer. i think at best you're right in the middle of all this mess rather than closing in on putting things right or bottoming out. just my view but i've seen plenty of clubs in this situation, including my own to a degree, and i don't expect ipswich to be any different. i don't know if you'll go down this season - i think you're in big trouble, but that league is so bonkers, you just never know - but i do think you'll go down at some point soon and gut feeling is, i don't think you'd come straight back up - but then i didn't think we would!
