Morning guys. Interesting article in the Hull Daily Mail today where Ehab says all major/big signings must relocate and live in the HU postal code area. Will this have a major effect on our chances of signing the players we want? Personally I think it would. Article: http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/New-...live-locally/story-19249195-detail/story.html
Live in East Yorkshire? WHY? there is **** all there! "hmm leafy cheshire or Withernsea and their dissolving clay cliffs that is turning the sea a lovely shade of **** brown?" does anyone else think that demand could bite them in the ass?
I think it's a good idea as long as it doesn't hinder the calibre of player we can bring in/make us less attractive when a number of clubs are after the same player.
Fantastic idea, whether it will come off and players will buy into it I just don't know. Saying that if you live out the west of Hull which I imagine most of the players will, you can pretty much get anywhere in North England and as South as say Nottingham in about 2 hours so it isn't like they'll be stuck here with nowhere to go on there days off.
erm, Knutsford, Alderley Edge or Prestbury versus Skidby, Beverley or Hornsea. Living in Knutsford I would personally choose one of the towns I've mentioned closer to Hull. Surely in terms of team building it is easier if players are able to mingle more and the travelling most affect performances.
The only thing I can see being a problem with this is that players might question why other players like Fryatt are allowed to live further away.
If I was feeling malicious, I'd say that he's allowed to live away because he's probably going to be leaving. Can see him going back to Leicester if he does. I'd prefer to keep him for a crack at the PL he fully deserves, but I'd give him a full pre season before making a decision on him.
Don't see what all the fuss is about, at one time most of the City team lived local, even the guys who were transferred to City.
Where does the manager live? Some may say Portugal.HU postcode rules out Barton Brigg etc some players like it over there
Great idea and what is wrong with that. Stephen Hunt lived in Harrogate and thats not far away. Some lovely places around Hull to live especially if you have money.
The club allowed that to happen under the previous manager. FFS, Fryatt does not live that far away anyway and it was for his wife more than himself from what has been said.
Don't see a problem. The Allams live locally and have a bob or two. The Healey brothers both live locally and I would have thought could afford a pad in Brixton or Toxteth if they chose, maybe even a terrace in Moss Side. This suggests to me that the East Riding area has some attraction.
