    Morning all,

listening to blunderside thismorning and burnsie said something about us being touted to sign some high profile striker. Havent been on the board for a couple of weeks, wondered if anyone had heard who it might be?

Still concered about the lack of a goalkeeper, shame we cant get manonne back

Wouldn't worry. Gulasci on a season loan sounds a formality and Adriano Basso has gone to Slovenia with the squad. AP said on Humberside last night that there are loads of options out there and they have backup options for Gulasci too, should it fall through.

May be Martyn Waghorn? As Leicester have got him available for around a fee of £1million.

Adam Pearson said last night there would be no more permanent signings at least until the season starts.

I'll kind of go with that!

we don't need any more strikers, we've got 4 plus Barmby

    the GKs will be sorted..

if Bullard's staying we're abt there, personally I'd sign another CB, maybe a short-term option for RW, maybe Ghilas could come back and play the wing? there's an option..

    just need to shift Oli..

No chance of shifting Ghilas either so use him..

    going well IMO

If that means Bullard stays and plays and we are within our means in doing so then fine by me.

If thats the case then im glad, due to the fact that could mean Jimmy is staying put and is gonna have a go this year.
I still can see Oly and Ghilas going, i suspect if we get rid of them then it free's up some spare cash for some other permanent signings.

We still need 2 more Keepers and a winger IMO

Burnsie was talking with Andy Comfort on the breakfast show about Ipswich Town and there new players Chopra and the signing / impact of Lee Bowyer. Then he Burnsie said to AC that he had heard talk of a high profile striker. Ipswich Town Not Hull City. Shame.

But listening to Adam P. last night on sportstalk who knows what will happen in the comin weeks. Whilst talking openly about the players who may move on soon..Ghilas, Kilbane, Macca,,, Adam was very reserved on much comin in except Gulacsi who is expected to join City on the 18th/19th when Liverpools get back from Asia. :emoticon-0150-hands

Adam did say we will be entering the loan market once more so I'm sure there will be some new faces yet to come in.

I wouldn't pin too many hopes on Jimmy Bullard if I were you. I'm sure many clubs noticed how dangerous he was last season for Ipswich.
If I were an opposing manager, I would tell the ball-winner in my team that to go out and remind Jimmy he's got dodgy knees was numero uno on his "To Do" list.

We if City do shift both Oli and Ghilas and there wages in full that more or less pays for Bullard for the season. Job done.

I have a feeling that Paul Mckenna would get his message accross first. STAY AWAY FROM BULLARD OR ELSE ? I would and if Ian Ashbee was still here so would he. Get to them before they get to us.

The problem there is that Bullard is only one swift kick away from another 6 months propping the bar up in the Weir.

Thats the sad part. But i hope and feel that City will protect Bullard on the pitch. Its in all our interests that they do.

Any chance of Big Billy Whitehurst being signed up as Bullards on pitch minder ? Just a thought.

A striker on the naughty step at a prem club would be handy with the parent club paying the majority of the wages.
