So Alan Ferguson has been replaced with Ben somebodyoranother from St Joseph's College...

Could this be the first time in all the time I've been watching Town that we'll have a less than first class pitch - muddy goalmouths and suchlike in an effort to maximise Evans' takings? Did Fergie quit or was he pushed...

    About what Zoomba?

We have replaced one of the top few groundsmen in Europe with a guy who mows the playing field at a nearby school.

Have you seen the pitches at St Jo's?

Good luck to the guy, I'm sure he will be ace.

Ferguson has been lured by Sheepy to work up at the Academy at Burton.

Ferguson chose to stay at Town instead of taking the wembley job and has been assisting the club with finding the new groundsman. Fergie's also staying on for a couple of months here to assist Ben to settle in and teach him the ins and outs of the pitch.

Im sure Ben will do a fine job, he's local and will show as much loyalty as Fergie did as well as having local knowledge of the soil types and local tradesman types.

I echo what zoomba said. Bit pointless starting an article having a go at hiring someone local. You have no idea what qualities he brings to the club and if he is recommended or backed by Fergie then he must be good at his job. I'm disappointed in your small mindedness on this one Hampy, thought you were better than that.
