If the transfer window opened today could the 'news', if it happens, be a new signing? Maybe a forward which would be classed as big news which I think is what Upthere referred to it as.

Correct, but he's a touch pre occupied. Plus, considering the wide variety of coaches we have recently employed he has no idea what style of play we will be playing so how will them signings fit? Say we sign a 6ft5 target man but then the new coach comes in wanting to play a style which needs a striker that makes runs in behind, we've just wasted money on the target man.

This model is good when ran correctly and if it was you'd be absolutely correct that we don't need a coach in place to be able to start signing players, but it isn't being ran correctly.
Well I get the impression that there is no input on transfers from the HC. Dack was the only time he relented, which was the last straw between him & Mowbray imo. KS buys young kids that will do well and turn a profit eventually and the HC has to accommodate them. That’s why we’re finding it so hard to employ one. (My opinion, rather than based on any ITK info)

If that's true it shows KS was right not to listen to Mowbray as Dack was utter ****e and never fit.
