Better squad and more money having been in the prem last year. Realistically they should piss promotion, can't blame him for wanting to interview for it.

If, and I say if as everything is conjecture at the moment. If that is the case, then along with Will still I don't want him at our club.

This is a massive club steeped in history and I want a hungry ambitious manager that wants to test his ability not take an easier ride and the money.

We've improved no end since Donald duck and methane. Granted, we've wobbled lately. But I'm hoping for someone right to rock up.

Ok , it could be someone wrong. But you have to hope.

We're in a far far better position than those last moments of Ellis shorts tenure, and the freefall aftermath.

What type of football do Cifuentes play, can't say I have took much notice of QPR

I’ve only watched them a couple times too to be fair, I think one of them was a Friday night game they won and they played some decent stuff. I’d say more possession based

But they were honestly awful to start the season and he seems to have really turned it round

It's all just talk. The reality is that we were level pegging last season with QPR, a head coach isn't going to care about stadium size or history. He's gonna want job security, a say in transfers, ability to bring in his people, a good salary, ambition shown by those above him.
We have far more potential that QPR. You cannot take one half season out of context and use it as your hill to die on.

but of course you know all this and are just spouting **** for the sake of it

We've invested loads more in our playing squad recently than QPR if people want to talk about 'ambition' (eurgh), we've a squad of technical players that are more suited to his style than QPR. Most of the reason we were 'level pegging' with them last season is because they had him and we didn't.

You make some good points, we have spent more than them, and I do think our squad is better. But it's marginal, nobody is gonna be surprised if they finish above us or vice versa, and Cifuentes seems loved there, whereas here anyone is under pressure from day 1.

Don't get me wrong, I would love it, it would restore some faith.

Angry ****er you lad.

Where's the context I'm missing? As I say we should have more potential, but we're mainly interested in realising Mike Dodds' potential.

I don't think it is marginal to be honest, they have some good players like Willock, Chair, Field, Anderson etc but very few would get in our best team. On a technical level (which is what he values in his preferred style of football) our squad is way ahead in my opinion.

I don't think we'll get him though having said that. I think he'll feel a debt of gratitude to QPR and therefore won't abandon them so close to preseason.

We don't really know that mate.

In all honesty Dodds is just one of many of the employees, at our club, who's done his best in very difficult circumstances.

Do we really want to be the kind of club that just sacks people because the supporters turn against them ...

... would that help us attract new managers and coaches, I doubt it personally.

I think you can add Dykes to that as well, considering our forward options. Plus, Sinclair Armstrong looks an absolute handful, he laid a chance on for Willock which should have been the winner at the SoL last season.

Tbh there aren't many whole squads I'd swap with ours, just because of the potential, but we are desperate for a handful of players capable of playing immediately.

Your opinion mate, you may be right ...

... mine is that he's a very poor football player who'll never improve.

Tbh I don't want him sacked, I think he is a little bit of a scapegoat, I just don't want him forced on a head coach. I'm only going off context clues like media reports and itk types.

They should let him do what he’s good and not struggle with things that causing him difficulties. There’s too much sacking when additions and changes often suffice.

You don’t think the decision making in the last 8 months has been shambolic?

I'm pretty tired of this season and look forward to next season starting.

We need to step up in this search for a coach and we need to improve the squad in the window. The coach search has been incredibly disappointing to this point.

But KLD isn't gutting the academy. He isn't signing terrible deals on corporate partnerships such as kit providers, he isn't emptying offices at the AoL.

The football needs to improve. The business ans the improvements to infrastructure is a marvel. KLD has good intentions but seems the football department is not clicking.

The two trousers in maroon pants did not have good intentions.
