I don't know the answer. I just know if Still gets announced at Lens the twitter reaction will be horrendous, even when the next person gets appointed, as they will undoubtedly be "a panicked 2nd choice".
Whereas if we appoint that same person before Still gets announced at Lens, even though we all know he's second choice, it won't look as "panicked".
Maybe not explaining myself very well. I'm taking purely about how I think fans on twitter will react as well.
I agree completely. I think we are being incredibly naive and our Head of PR/Communications/Brand Engagement or whatever it is called nowadays, if we have one, is not doing a good job at all.
We're seemingly on the back foot and lacking drive.
That could be wrong but it's their job to make us believe that and I'm not seeing that at all. No relationship with the press, no means of dampening disquiet on social media, and a growing disability to read their customer base.
A lot of the business is moving forwards and modernising at an astonishing rate. But not the PR. It's practically mid 20th century.
