I honestly don't think it is compatible or understandable. It's a damaging way to run this model and it flat out doesn't work. If you don't trust Speakman 100% to pick the head coach, replace him. Its just not a good way to run a football club.
I think Speakmans relationship with Dodds compromises this therefore KLD is the counterbalance. Get Speakman doing what he’s good at. I’m like a broken record but I’d just add a first team decision maker to the mix rather than lose Speakman’s strengths

You talking Alkmaar or Rotterdam?

We went Rotterdam a few times, De Kuip one of the best football experiences of my life.

We also took in a Sparta game that was class proper bouncing the place.

Only away game we went to was a radge cup game against some 5th division side.

Have been to Ajax of course as a tourist. Great atmosphere but Feyenoord another level.
Rotterdam mate it's right near de kuip, heerenveen is a lovely stadium aswell, they have an old school English pub style under the stand and have a band an that on after games. They know how to do there football.

Really really poor way to run a football club. Would be really disappointed if KLD is anywhere near the coach search. The DoF head coach relationship is the most crucial at the club, why damage it?
I get what you're saying, but I don't necessarily think that the head coach has to be recruited by the DoF for them to have a good working relationship.

I agree even if KLD 100% trusts Speakman it can reasonably be expected that he has an interest and input into who the new head coach is going to be.

Alright if he takes over the decision and disregards Speakman that's not good but it's not terrible that he is interested and involved. I'm sure he is interested and involved in other plans to improve things at the club why would this be different

He isn't a sign the cheque owner that Short was!

I’ll make sure I’m taken there next visit mate.

Aye I read a piece about Heerenveen not too long back told you about all of that. Groningen meant to be decent as well but they in the second now I think (may have gone back up)

Twente always looks a bit tasty as well.

Its not about not trusting. Its about having ownership and personal investment into high profile appointments at the club.

You can trust somebody 100% whilst also working together to come up with an outcome.
But @Blond Bombshell 's statement was that KLD is running the search and KS is nowhere near it and is being replaced after the transfer window (I dont think that is the case). Thats no way to run a football club.

I blame him for not removing speakman yes. If you don't trust the DoF to do their job to the fullest extent why the **** is he still here?
Because to remove him as soon as the season ended would leave us worse off. He'll work to the benefit of the club and handover to the new DoF in due course. New manager and players being higher priority in my opinion.

So who is picking that coach and them players? Jansen and Still both didn't do recruitment at AZ and Reims so it shouldn't be them. Is it KLD? That would be bad. Is it Harvey? Is it Speakman who's leaving after making them decisions and doesn't have the trust of the owner?

What the falk have reacted to the Copley tweet with a big cheesey grin so that confirms it for me, can we all now start talking about our favourite Dutch beers, the Belgians went down a storm
They've got some interesting traditional beer types, like kuit, but as far as I know they haven't got the same breadth as Belgium. I think their modern craft beer scene takes a lot of influence from Belgian styles. Jansen is a let down in this regard.
