Also whilst I'm posting I may as well keep it in here.

New kit supplier announced in April, with new kit going on sale in June.

That's much better than previous years

Would be really good to see the club making some progress in terms of marketing, merchandising, etc.

Fingers crossed. Think some very bad deals were signed under previous owners.

Also:

"On the Head Coach search, he added that the Club consciously had a period of reflection after Michael Beale’s departure and are now engaging in meetings with prospective Head Coaches. This will flow into formal interviews and a decision."
Happy with this, as long as Dodds isn’t being considered.

"The strategy is set by the Club’s Ownership Group and Board of Directors, who then appoint a Sporting Director to lead on this area of the Club.

A Head Coach is then appointed on a very transparent set of principles and as a member of the leadership team, is involved in every of the stage of the player recruitment process."

That quote, on the subject of transfer strategy, from the supporter's meeting very much goes against the "narrative"

KS is doing KLD's bidding in line with KLD's vision.

I have no problem with that, seems like anger is being misplaced at Speakman's feet...

If the above is genuine.

That's the big question isn't it. I'd like to think it is genuine, but when you've got what looks like a pattern of managers complaining about the same thing......is it reasonable to assume Mowbray really wanted Hemir, for example. Maybe it was a give and take to get Dack.

The key line in there seems to be the Sporting Director leading. Some characters will take that as 'I'm your boss'

SD provides the team. Coach coaches the team provided to them by the SD.

I think we have the American sports model in mind, works well over there but there will definitely be some growing pains rolling it out over here.

Playing devil's advocate , then surely Beale of Dodds should be sound? All youth and qualified to the hilt?

I think its a tough situation for most to do well in. We have a sporting director who things he is God and has simply too much say in all matters. All coaches have appeared to be critical of the approach he has implemented. Experience etc.

Then we have the absolute insistent that Dodds and Proctor are on the front bench and have their say.

Just those ingredients themselves make the job more difficult.

I think Bob was suggesting we need a football man of experience. Takes no ****. Standards. That experience will make up for the variables mentioned above.

Probably why the likes of Neil and Mowbray had some success over a period and Dodds and Beale have stunk the place out.
Perfectly put,and bang on.

Two coaches who almost certainly both signed on for the job knowing full well what the recruitment strategy was...

Neither of whom complained when that recruitment strategy was working, instead choosing to whine about it when the team that had been doing well, stopped doing well under their guidance.

Exactly. Some of our fans, man. When we were playing exciting football, the recruitment strategy is great....when we hit a blip in form,... KS fault. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

More fortitude required. I get wanting to replace a broken system/individual. But you just have to give people a chance.

In fairness though Speakman is getting his chances, he's had several windows and a few managerial appointments. He needs to get people back on board with some good moves.

Time will run out.

Totally agree. Losing TM....mistake....appointing MB....huge mistake. Striker recruitment,in particular, not good enough. Some good moves definately required,or he's run out of chances. However, imo he's earned the chance to try to correct these mistakes in time for next season.

Sometimes it just depends what side of the bed you got out of.
Or if your really lucky who's bed you got out of :emoticon-0140-rofl:

I think that we all have good days and bad days and our mood can colour our responses. At the end of the day though we all want what's the best for SAFC, it's just that we all have a different view of what that looks like

This isn't personal to you Bob, I just keep seeing people talking about 'the model' and don't know what it is.

As you seem clued up can you explain?
The model, a term used by both KLD and Kristjaan, is to find the best young talent, from anywhere in the world.
Induct them into the system how our coaches can nurture and improve them both on and off the field.
However everyone claims TM had run his course with us, IMHO he had not, his coaching style suited us.
He spoke out and was dismissed for it.
If you want a style of play it that works, like what we had, it takes time to get there, and a change of coach is not gonna help.
Unless your on about the sought after Mr Beal. Lol.
Noe this is just my opinion

Think the only problem with Mogga was we'd been found out how to play against and there wasn't or didn't seem to be a plan B. Everything else with him was a perfect fit IMHO.
