Meltdown is the wrong word, frustration is more fitting. Nobody knows for sure if he even is our top target but it does seem that way from people who do seem to get genuine snippets of information. And if he is, and we can’t get this over the line fans are absolutely justified to be frustrated. I’m frustrated at how long this is dragging on but certainly not having a meltdown over it. That will happen if we appoint another yes man with a crap reputation.
Either way - he's the first "journalist" to even say Will Still has been for talks anywhere. We just keep hearing from people our end that its close. Its obviously not that close if he's still looking at other options.
Won 1 of their last 5 league games and still finished 17 points above us. Could well be offering better wages. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him go there.
Yeh taking off our Sunderland goggles its quite easy to imagine them being a better option. Finished higher. Larger budget. Can even quickly jump on a ferry and be back to Belgium from Norwich.
Exactly. I’d only be disappointed if he was our number 1 target, which it certainly seems is the case.
Me personally? No. But the wider fanbase absolutely would and I wouldn't blame them. Norwich is a better job than here anyway so I would take that job if I were him.
My fear is that there is literally zero concrete link between him and us in any of the press. Literally any press story about it is that they understand we are in talks with him. I haven't seen a single journalist actually say its happening. Not one. And now we have one linking him to Norwich. I have a genuine fear that there are a lot of people assuming its happening and are all bouncing that assumption off each other and its eventually feeling more and more real like a snowball effect.
Might sound arrogant but if anyone would choose them over us then we don’t want them anyway. I don’t think he’ll go there anyway personally.
Using my extensive knowledge of ferries, I think he'd have to drive to Hull or Dover to get a ferry to Belgium. And as there are no motorways in Norfolk that would be a pain in the arse. Can someone tell him this, to try and put him off?
Its not arrogant but perhaps niaive to assume we are the great opportunity our fans would like to think we are. From the outside its perfectly reasonable to assess our job as being a poisoned chalice. The narrative around the club from the outside is that the fans and owners expectations far outweigh our budget. We are famous for not giving managers time. And recently we are famous for only signing youth. So I'm not at all surprised that managers would look at other championship clubs ahead of us. Certainly ones who have finished significantly higher than us in the most recent season
Two questions; How are we going to eat, and what floor’s the restaurant on? The answer is “The Chinese Way” and Level 42...

Here's the Norwich local press saying Will Still has been at Norwich's training ground this week, and already has an existing relationship with their Technical Director https://x.com/cjsouthwell1902/status/1793595790495236553 "Will Still. Definitely been at Colney this week and spoken to about the #NCFC vacancy. Pre-existing relationship with Ben Knapper, who gave him Folarin Balogun on loan. Norwich continuing to speak to candidates this week."
