Looks very nice, good new sections, such as more focus on the youth, and a nice history section. However it comes with bad news, cottage corner, probably the most active fulham board, has been shut down as a result. Sadly though, most of the posters are the worst sort of type, and the board was becoming beyond dysfunctional, a mass of in-fighting and bickering. So I bring a warning (I know I don't post very often, I prefer to read the posts of the much wiser beings on here) that we may find ourselves over-run with truly moronic posters if somehow they find there way on here. Lets hope not, but if they do it may be the time to finally get a moderator. Anyway, here's to a new season, one that I am still struggling to formulate an opinion as to our chances, but will be happy to be back at the cottage tomorrow for the first time in far too long. COYW
Must admit I never went on the Cottage Corner forum, so didn't realize it was that bad. I go on the TIFF site and that has always been over run by idiots claiming to support Fulham or wums from other clubs, especially on school holidays, due to it's open style of posting. But at least today I finally found the Ignore button on here. Not sure I have got use to the New Fulham site yet. Some of my bookmarks to certain pages now don't work, and I can't find them on the new site.
I went on the forum quite a lot but the majority of the irritating posters were Americans who deliberately wound people up with their Dempsey love overkill. So hopefully when he ****s off they will too.
Thanks Gilly - I like it as well, especially the improved focus on the Academy. [Although the site is awful slow - hopefully that's just bedding in or whatever the technical term is.] The Club have said that they will continue to develop the website; using its enhanced social media functions for engagement with fans. Don't know whether that will be the same as cottage corner or when it will happen. So I suspect you're correct and we should expect some newcomers, like soon. The Club also said that they will also continue to monitor all of its 'official social media channels' in order to gauge fan opinions on Club matters. So everyone, get posting and get heard!!
Just realised, I can't find a link to "Gentleman Jim" for his match commentaries. Not that I'll need it tomorrow but will be disappointing if he's not around for away matches.
Ahh clearly to infatuated with their old board, so have set up a new one! Looks quite nice to be fair.
That forum is a joke, imagine loads of 'apparent' fulham fans who are like that chap from QPR who comes on here attempting to WUM. You get ripped by your own fans... Wierd
I'm having some trouble navigating around the new website, with links timing out or giving me 'that page does not exist' messages. I wanted to check whether the Southampton away tickets had gone on sale yet, and if not when they would. Can anyone offer me any wisdom on that one? Thanks.
They haven't put the Wigan away tickets up yet, so far ManU and West Ham only. The new web site is really suffering a slow down, think this is due to the loading of the background images, and the way they have done the layout with changing images.
Thanks, Super Brian. The Southampton one is more like a home game for me, and I don't want to have to answer to my 8 year old if we miss out on getting tickets because I'm disorganised!
Captain, if you see the Saints ticket date, please do post, since I need to take my lot there. I'll do likewise. Pity the early-Sunday KO.
The early Sunday kick off is better for me than for you, I'm guessing. Will do re: posting the dates.
I must admit I'm really liking the new layout and the new features. The club have just posted 'The Fulham 10' where they test players' knowledge on Fulham trivia. First up is captain Brede Hangeland. http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2012/august/22/10qs-with-brede-hangeland
Your wish is my command, GeraScores. Southampton away tickets are on sale to season ticket holder from 9am on Tuesday 11th September, to members from 9am on Thursday 13th September, and to the general public from 9am on Tuesday 18th September. See you there (hopefully). http://shop.fulhamfc.com/events.aspx?section=eve&eventfilter=home
