All LFC posters. You have to log back in to this new site. then figure the hell how to post but if you have any problems at all, please post here even if you have to create a new account to do so.
For the record, there are already questions about signatures. I see null under peopels posts and i cannot myself see how to edit them or add a new one. this has been asked on mod forum.
for those of you really struggling to find you way round: look to the top bar. you can search for threads or you can "quick navigate". This button looks like a org tree and gives you access to lots of useful ways to find forums pages, club boards etc. you can also once you get to lfc board choose to WATCH THREAD (binoculars) so you can watch some threads (every thread you create is watched unless you unselece the tick btw) you can then access wathced threads
health warning on the following: direct copy from mod board so it might be actually out of date slghtly if changes were made. Private messaging. This feature is replaced by Conversations. To the right of your avatar (top right of the display) is an envelope. Click on that and you will see a list of conversations in which you are currently engaged. You have the option to start a new conversation, list all conversations, or just list conversations you started or those that you have starred. When you select a conversation, the whole conversation is presented in much more readable form than on the old forums; more like posts. There is no option to delete conversations; you "Leave" them, with an option to receive further replies. For this reason there is no need for an archive facility. At present, there is no facility to create folders in which to file conversations. PMs that were deleted on the old forums were not physically deleted and have been converted to the new site and appear in your list of live conversations. You could remove these “deleted” PMs from your list by selecting all and marking as “Left”. However, selecting all only selects a page at a time so it could take a while if you have a lot of PMs. Alternatively they could be left in the hope that, at some stage, this will be achieved automatically for you (at present there is no plan to do this) Alerts. To the right of the Envelope is a Flag. This alerts you to anything you are interested in; a useful facility. Click on the flag and all the new alerts will be shown. You just click on the alert to view the details. You can also set your Alert preferences here Your News Feed. Notifications of actions by People you Follow. People you Follow will have been created from your Mates on the old forums Things that are missing 1. As mentioned above. No facility to organise messages (conversations) into folders 2. No facility to create albums and store photos 3. No Rep Value. Rep points on the old forums converted into Likes
for all those on main lfc board wondering how on earth to get to the last post on a thread... simply click on the TIME of the post on the right below the users name who posted. this will bring you to end. ther eis no last button but there is a last page number also on the elf side.
Mike ****ed the place ... I dont like it bah humbug. P.s. as a retired mod I hope this donate button is used for pensions as well as wages
i had noticed that. also another point for those of you who like privacy. please note that on your avatar you might see a gloiwing green circle. this means you are online now. you can turn this off in your personal settings. i have.....
Don't think it's as bad as what it's being made out to be, give it a month or so to get used to it and it'll feel like it's normal.
i've been able to find 90% of what i need to. I have found the video links are broken. I cannot find signature editing but have found some folks still have theirs and are viewable on profile page. UPDATE: the faded red arrow in the lower right of your screen is most sueful to return to the top of the page you are on. might be vital in mobile land.
Well this is all very different... Gonna have to investigate while on comp as too much to do on phone!
Yeh i can see the chelsea board. Nice to see the qpr fan has been posting about me frantically. Keeps their board alive if nothing else. Sites fine. A little cramped though.
