Ron Howard (Frost/Nixon, A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13) will be directing a film called Rush about the James Hunt/Niki Lauda, Mclaren/Ferrari rivalry. It is meant to follow both Hunt's and Lauda's personal lives on and off the track and also follow their rivalry from Formula 3 to when they were driving for Mclaren and Ferrari. It will be written by Peter Morgan (The Damned United, Frost/Nixon, The Last King of Scotland).

The film will be shot in and around Silverstone and the Nürburgring.

James Hunt will be played by Chris Hemsworth.

Yeah they look just like them, couldn't they find two more interesting people to make a film about than an over privileged womanizing playboy and a gob ****e?

You won't be watching it then?

Enjoy your sanitised, over censored, PR influenced drivers we have now.

Well put. Give me Hunt and Lauda any day. Yes Hunt enjoyed the perks, but he took his driving seriously, and, come on, Lauda was a quality driver, and just because he is not afraid of expressing his opinion doesn't make him a gobshite.

Instead of a Sex:Breakfast of Champions badge sewn onto his overalls Hamilton or Vettel would proudly display a badge declaring I Have No Opinions Or Personality Unless My Major Sponsors Tell Me To.

A sequel with Hunt Vs Walker focusing on his commentating career would be worth a watch too :)

They could make a heist film about Bernie Ecclestone.
