There are many factors that determine who goes down and who goes up.. and we are talking bottom 8 at this point in the season, with a likely target of 47 points some will say don't care what other teams do, we need to just keep on winning .. true but a tad naïve Teams fighting for survival playing each other .. a draw always favourable, as it is always 1 point out of the final equation. Unless of course its your team and that's 2 points ! Ability of those teams that are in the top 8 or so to win their away games against the bottom 8 having a team that can last the course, not just a team that can "get by and hopefully survive" A manager who will not go into every game thinking that worked so will stick with it ... Players who will not be fazed by being behind.. from the start both teams are under pressure, when one scores they are both under pressure, when one scores 2, the other team is under double the pressure etc. FANS staying behind the team, through thick and thin .. the fat lady only sings when points available is 3 and needed is 4 ( or for the pedantic goal difference is nigh on impossible) Sat 3 pm Elland Road the ball starts rolling here, we have a 3 point start with the unexpected but Welcome win against Middsboro. YEP but that was because we were at the top! and were conditioned to winning ... this year we are conditioned to losing! and in the relegation zone, so we need other teams to do worse than us at a minimum 2 of them if not 4 or more
We had a bigger, better squad which included Smith and JET. We had a manager with determination and a formation which worked. Our tails were up and the opposition were weak. None of those apply now.
