Looking through GoS match photos of the Birmingham game I couldn't help but notice the rather large solid pine dugouts, built by Bond Timber. I know at present that the terracing behind them are at present an unused area, hopefully one day that will be changed. This area looks dreadful at present and surely needs soughting out so spectators are nearer the action. Ok one day this area will get developed with the new proposed stand......then there will be a problem.......there will be a substantial blind area for spectators behind these huge solid wood constructions. At present they are a good advert for Bond Timbers business......but they do look very strange being non see through solid wood constructions and personally totally out of place in a football environment. The answer could be for any new development to be higher at pitch side, so that fans would be able to see over these strangely designed dugouts which look more appropiate in a sauna build.
Pretty much sums up the team at the mo..... solid, wooden, unbending and ugly. Has to be the most uninspiring closed season for a long time worst than last year even with the restrictions.
Given Bond Timber are our shirt sponsors it's not surprising they get a plug with the sheds. Ideal for the groundsman to keep his fork and mower in I suppose when not a match day. Nothing much is impressing anyone is it though. The season ticket crap that such a fuss was made of in the offer originally turned out to be a damp squib. The signings turned out to be much the same and pre-season was unimpressive. Apart from that everything is going swimmingly.
