He could still be off-loaded if Liverpool sign someone else and find a buyer. They may be protecting themselves from him going on a free.

To be fair i think he's been ok. A few games he has been solid. However, needs to stop making the odd mistake.

Let's be fair. He was bought as an emergency stopgap and he has performed over and above expectations. So thanks Soto but one way or another it really is time to go now.

I think Kyrgiakos has done very well at times, and he adds some thing that other defenders dont, which is strong presence in the air, which is needed for set pieces.

Stop dreaming. His contract expired so he could go free. Now we'll get something for him.

In my opinion, he would be good cover to have. Like KPR has already said, he could still be sold. This extension is an automatic extension to his contract becuase he has played a certain amount of games. He might not be in Kenny's plans even though he has an extension to his contract. <ok>

I wouldn't mind if he stayed on for a bit. Can't imagine he's a huge drain on our resources and he's not bad back-up. Lacks a bit of quality but can't be faulted for commitment.
If he leaves, good luck to him.

He had some good games but he did make some big time mistakes as well
Scored a few goals for us he is solid with his head
In a way he sort of reminds me of Hipyya not as good as Sammy but not far of bags of experience through age
I for one don't mind him staying as back up +he can play against the physical teams not the speedy teams

But as mentioned above it might be that we are trying to get some money for him

Horrible away games away at Stoke and Bolton. He'll do just fine there. Last year though I think.

Soto is basically great in the air, but a disaster waiting to happen on the deck. Some of his slide tackles are awful. That being said, he did find a little consistency the more he played, so I'm happy for him to be kept as backup, and presumably he is too.

May be useful back up is all I can say about him, would rather Ayala was the first choice back up though.
