So Ehmer has been given new contract which could take him top 10 appearances for the Gills. Who else should be offered new deals Williams and Macca have both been excellent since January so think both could get another year . Assume McKenzie was only on short contract so would think Mr Versatile will be offered another one. Morris surely get another year and probably player of season. Not sure if Alexander will still be under contract and is a difficult one. 50/50 for me. Gbode already signed. O Keffe . Tutonda Bailey Walker Green Reeves Kashket should all go. Not sure on Chambers. Page another 50/50 Obviously want to sign Masterson and probably O Brien.
Priority for me would be Morris and Macca Probably Jefferies too, but as long has we get the top two I don't really care. Your list looks fine to me gio.
Who the Hell is Macca ? - will he be in your top 3 Star player today ? - or might you choose Barry Fuller (( I saw his name in the list of rules for the thread )).... If there are any spelling mistakes, I think points should be voided -- a bit like putting more than one X on a ballot paper !...... I don't make the rules (( thank goodness for that I hear you say. )) -- as you can tell, I'm still suffering from chocolate overdose from last weekend.

Strong rumours that MacDonald may be off to Stevenage to play for Evans once more with Doncaster also interested. Its believed the stumbling block is that Macca wants a 2 year deal but Gills only want to offer 1 which I can understand with his age. As great as he was at the end of the season, we sadly can't be held to ransom. As for the rest well no real major surprises. With the likelihood that we will have a U23 team again next season I did think Akehurst may be given opportunity for another year to develop more but he obviously didn't do enough to break into the team at the start of the season when our Left Backs changed every five minutes so it is what it is.
I think MacDonald will struggle in L1 for reasons you've already highlighted with age, especially as L1 is getting tougher and tougher, mainly due to the fall out of clubs from the Championship that have had past parachute payments. He's better off sticking with us, then going to Stevenage in 12 months time, once Evans gets them relegated back to L2.
My thoughts are that, in principle, MacDonald should be offered a ONE year deal..... and even IF Gills achieve promotion next season, MacDonald probably won't be up to par in L1 in 24/25...... and, if Gills fail to get promoted next season, then we should be looking for better quality, than MacDonald (( and a few others )), can provide, to get out of L2. Those fans with with sentiment for MacDonald, need to remember that GFC were loyal to him during his long injury lay-off - and kept faith with him thereafter - when he could easily have been released.... So - he hasn't gone without 'goodwill.'..... With his work ethic, maybe he could be 'promised' a coaching roll in a couple of seasons time.
I don't believe that is an unfair assessment and I echo the views that a one year deal would make sense for League Two with his experience, but a two year deal (especially if we are successful next season), to me would be a stretch too far. I think it was abundantly clear whilst he's 100% committed to the cause, he would be spent after about 65 minutes and that would be found out more dramatically another year and a half down the line in a league above. One and done for me. As for Disco Dave, I think we can do much better.
Update on the Brian Moore Stand, it appears negative reviews is all publicity lol. I get the angle he is coming from and I'm certainly not going to be the one to question his decision, in Brad we trust... https://www.kentonline.co.uk/medway...ing-place-off-the-field-at-gillingham-287590/ Lots of exciting things going on though.
