Stephen Arthurworrey .. He has signed a one-year extension to his contract, keeping him with us until the summer of 2016. However, Stephen will re-join Yeovil Town on loan for next season; with the Club holding an option to recall him in January. Jordan Evans, Liam Donnelly and Dean O’Halloran have all been offered new contracts with the Club. Aron Davies has signed a three-year professional contact; Josh Walker a two-year pro contract; Aaron Redford and Elijah Adebayo have signed one-year pro deals. And, Anthony Dolan and Mattias Kait are apparently set to agree two-year professional contracts, while Tayo Edun and Luca de la Torre have also been offered professional terms.
The Arthurworrey one is a bit strange. Surely going back to Yeovil who are now in League 2 is a step backwards in his development. The idea should be to rise a level like Dan Burn did. The one year extension is a bit safe by the club too. I think this will probably be his last contract for the club unfortunately. Good to see Evans, Donnelly and O'Halloran be offered new deals. They all looked impressive at U18 level at least. Haven't seen much from them last year at U21s but definitely look promising.
Can only think that they believe that staying in the same setup in a team you assume would be winning many more games this season would be better than sitting on the bench of a top L1 team? January will be make or break - we've very much hedged our bets here.
All three have signed extensions to their contracts, albeit surprising short term. Liam Donnelly and Jordan Evans have renewed for a further year, keeping them at the Club until June 2016, while Dean O'Halloran has signed a deal tying him to Fulham until 31st December 2015.
The Club have confirmed the recent Academy contracts and some new ones, together with a wodge of youngsters coming in as 'scholars': "As well as the news that Aron Davies, Josh Walker, Aaron Redford and Elijah Adebayo had all gone pro, we can now confirm that midfielders Luca de la Torre and Foday Nabay have signed deals until June 2018, while Tayo Edun, Mattias Kait and Anthony Dolan have agreed terms until June 2017. please log in to view this image Additionally, Academy youngsters Jerome Opoku, Cassian Thomas, Taye Ashby-Hammond, Marlon Fossey, Dennis Adeniran and Joshua Lukwata have begun scholarships at the Club, as have Moritz Jenz, Jon Dagur Thorsteinsson and Mikolaj Kwietniewski, who have arrived from clubs in Germany, Iceland and Poland respectively."
Ross McCormack has signed a contract extension (apparently - no doubt the Club will inform us in due course). Source: http://footballleagueworld.co.uk/fulham-striker-agrees-contract-extension-to-stay-with-club/ please log in to view this image
Confirmed - “The Club is delighted to announce that Ross McCormack has signed a contract extension, keeping him at Fulham until 2019.” Obviously a sweetner given he’s only 1 year into what was a 4 year deal? And the announcement obviously timed for today's press conference. A few interesting points in his video interiew, not least the remark about players who have left "not wanting to be here" .. and some nice action clips as well:
As posted by Fulham COYW in the other thread Marcus Betttinelli has signed a new deal. please log in to view this image "Fulham goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli has signed a new four-year deal, keeping him at the Club until 2019. The shot-stopper graduated through the Academy to make his First Team debut last season in a 1-0 win at Brentford in the League Cup. He ended the campaign with 45 appearances to his name and was runner-up to Ross McCormack in the Club’s 2014/15 Player of the Year poll. He was also named in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the Under-21 European Championships in the summer. Bettinelli told the official website: “I’m absolutely delighted to sign a new deal with the club I’ve been with for a long time. I always dreamed of wearing the number-one shirt for this Club when I was coming through the Academy. I’m extremely proud to wear it now and hopefully for many more years to come.” Presumably his selection in today’s game against Brighton, in preference to Lonergan, was a thank you for signing. As rosc also posted in another thread Marcus had some shaky moments. One thing in particular I find quite strange, disturbing even, is his kicking and the way he stabs at the ball which inevitably results in a longish lob. And little accuracy. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a goalie with no follow through in his kick.
The Club have confirmed that goalkeeper Magnus Norman has signed a new contract until June 2018. please log in to view this image "The 18-year-old has been with the Club since he was nine, and signed his first professional contract a year ago. He tasted first team football at Farnborough last season, and is currently on a season-long loan at Hayes & Yeading. Magnus has also sampled international football this calendar year, making his England Under-18s debut against Russia in March."
Strong rumours around that we are offering Moussa Dembele a new deal which would see his wages treble from £2k to £6k per week. please log in to view this image
It's nothing really. I hope we do it, for the sake of a few quid he could grow in to a super centre forward. He's put the effort in, I thought he played really well against Blackburn. Give him a confidence boost knowing he can now do his food shopping at Waitrose and not Lidl!
Its a tough life being a 19 year old on just 100k a year... Anyway, rant aside, we should do this. Dembele looks to be growing with the extra game time and if he kicks on he'll be gone in 2 years. I'd rather it was for millions rather than thousands, so this contract is sensible for both him and us.
