Surely that is now the next stage.

We have done our part by showing how much we want him to stay. Surely the next stage is to get him to commit himself to us by agreeing a new improved contract.

The last thing we want, now, is for this dragging on and on. Offering and having him accept a new contract puts it all to bed.

I expect and hope he'll be offered an extended contract in the next couple of of weeks.

Am I right in thinking that NP said in the after-match interview that he would be looking to get a couple of loanees in during the international break?
If so I wonder whether he has manipulated this manager situation to get AP and the Allams to free up the transfer budget a bit. The other thing that he has established by not commenting on Leicester is our club's commitment to keeping him as manager. I think that is a big thing with NP and the reason he left Leicester originally. Hopefully the whole thing has cleared the air a bit and we can move on.

This could be a blessing is disguise, might give NP more power to his elbow to push for an improved contract and more funds to strengthen.:emoticon-0110-tongu

Yes, and that's what some of us posted originally. It's the negativity that gets some managers down and saps their resolve. With others who hang on and hang in, it's because they don't care and can live with it. If this turns out ok for the club I hope we have all learned a big lesson. :)

I think that is appearing inevitable now, will give us and him more security.
