Bear with me over the following scenario.
    1. Charles Green consortium purchase assets of old rangers rfc, while latter have gone into liquidation, but still retain the membership of the SFA, which has yet to be transferred to new club.
    2. Before the liquidators can move in or the administrators wind up the club to finish off administration, a distant Billionaire relative(with wealth off the radar) of a former rangers célèbrity. now living in the US, becomes aware of the old clubs predicament and in order,to save the old club agrees to pay off all debts and prevent full liquidation.
    3. Old rfc now retain the SFA membership but have no stadium or training ground, which is now owned by Greens consortium and a club called The Rangers.
4 old rfc agree to rent or purchase Fir Hill and play there, while The rangers, the new club, play at Ibrox with the Tupe. Players and management team.
    5. The rangers, the new club make Walter Smith an offer he cannot refuse to become the manager.
    6. Both clubs, old rfc and The rangers, the new club with a new SFA membership play in Div 3,as fans of other clubs would not tolerate either in their division of Scottish football.

    Who would rangers fans support?

Who would they perceive as the real rangers?

Which club won 54 titles and the ECWC?

Since they're all zombies are they not condemned to exist in that twilight world between the living and the dead so would hover eternally between the two ... and if these co-existent teams had separate coaches to take them to games what would be the name of the driver of each coach? :emoticon-0105-wink:

I made a similar point before

There is nothing to stop anyone claiming to be a previous entity...apart from the law...otherwise debt would be dropped Willy Nilly and several groups claiming to be the original would appear at the same time

It's kind of the point of liquidation

I said on another thread that even though we all knew they were going to start again and pretend to be Rangers, Chico has still done really well to stop them fragmenting.

It is a little like Indiana Jones and the last crusade when all the baddies think the ark of the covenant is a jewel encrusted chalice whereas Indiana Jones knows it is the simple cup of a carpenter. In this instance, all the bad guys want is the stadium, the badge and the money in the fans pocket. The real truth is that Rangers was "Four men and a dream". That zombie crew acting out of Govan ain't Rangers. They are just too dumb to see it.
