    From The Guardian:
"In a busy day for the Wearside club, the legal director Margaret Byrne was appointed as the new chief executive and Bryan "Pop" Robson returned as chief scout."

    Thoughts?

Pop is one of my all time favourites?

Great to have him back in the fold.

Undoubtedly, one of my fist games circa '74 saw Pop Robson score with a header from a corner - true Sunderland legend.

Was it Pop Robson who first brought ballet dancing into training to help with the players balance? Or am I making that up?

His then father-in-law did a dance class that was supposed to help in some way and was used by a few clubs. I think it must have been something that was in fashion for a short time. Mind you the Brazilians used to train to music!
