How come we appoint a new Chief Scout last week and it's a secret? Louis Mendez tweet Karl Robinson mentions in here that former #QPR coach Steve Gallen has come in to help #cafc with their recruitment Congo Chris surprised by intensity of L1 ..... Next Manager your having a laugh AllHell
Is he actually chief scout, or in a constancy role? QPR's recruitment has been very questionable over the last decade whatever the role.
How many more peope are going to drift over from Belgium and be surprised that the teams we ay don't want to roll over and get beaten?
They're surprised. Let's do a comparison into why: English League An English league (take Championship as an example) has 24 teams, 21 of them ex-Premier League and 23 pretty decent teams. Top two wins the league, and 3rd to 6th get into a playoff system. A championship team depending on cup runs, etc, can play 50+ games in a season. It's really anyone's guess who's going to win the league, as there's not much difference between the teams. Belgian League The Belgian First Division A, has 16 teams, play 30 games and the winner is determined by a play-off final rather than the team that finishes top on points. Anderlecht seems to be the biggest team winning the majority of titles. Annoys me when they think their pony two-bit tinpot League is better than ours. ****, even Rotherham would smash one of their crappy Belgian teams.
This just feels like a new version of 'learn from our mistakes'. All pretty meaningless for 90% of the fanbase since it was demonstrated that we were bought purely to feed Standard Liege, all the while being fed a different tale. As for the new scout, it's all meaningless while we don't have a clue who the owners and manager will be in august. Just another crutch to help KM do a job she has no clue how to do.
Why the urgency to get in a new scout? Gobinson already has a list of 10 players, and Roland's extremely generous gift of £1m to spend in the summer is burning a hole in his pocket.
