He can't wipe the smile off his face. Some of the videos of his mixing with the fans in Atlanta are fantastic. Sounds like he gets football and has a good overview of how everything works having worked just about every role in across the boardroom staff area. As he eludes to many many times in that interview he grew Atlanta from scratch and they've become and established team in the MLS inside 10 years so sounds like a great appointment and knows how to drive a team forwards. Think between him, Ashworth, Jamie Ruben, Mandy and Mehrdad we have a group of people who a) get the club b) can drive progress quickly. Super exciting times! Hopefully the fan base will remember these times in a few years if we get where we are going and are narrowly missing out on targets/silverware. It took them 6 months to turn the ship around, this season should be the yardstick for how well they've done in their first season. Anything in the top 10 and a decent cup run to a Q/S final would be an amazing turn around from last season.
