New boots required

Discussion in 'Liverpool' started by Super G Ted'inho, Jul 19, 2012.

  1. Now, I'm going to start by saying I know full well that people will moan about having non-black boots (queue racism **** there too <whistle>) but...

What do people reckon to these...

I'm a big fan of the Puma V ( speed) series because I have a narrow foot. That would probably help with what your preference is with Brand, foot width, leather or synthetic, etc.

  3. I've heard the F series are quite narrow and small (have to order a size up), need to go into the shops and try some on before getting any <ok>

I've had Puma, Umbro, Nike, etc but always return to Adidas. I can actually say I love Adidas, won't by any other make of trainer either <ok>

Look no further than World Cups / Copa Mundials. Had mine 3 years now, still as comfy as ever.

Sounds like me with running shoes. I've tried various brands - Nike, Mizuna, Brooks, Asics, Reebok - but I always return to Asics or Brooks, eventually. Brooks because the fit very well (I have quite broad feet), and Asics because they have the best cushioning of any type of running shoes I've ever owned. We all usually stick with what we know, I guess.

Also, on astroturf I stick with trainers. No good for turning - people with astroturf boots turn me inside out, while I skid in their wake - but it's the only way I can play injury free. If I play in astroturf boots, I invariably pull a hamstring.

Copa's are the best boots ever. So comfy and last forever. Plus complete classics.

I have had mine for years and they are the best football boots I have ever owned. Can wear them on 3g, grass, and at a push astro.

Not bad price as well (about 80-90 pounds)

Black Addidas Mundial's. I've been wearing them religiously for as long as I can remember (I didn't even look at predators when they came out). Nothing comes close

They fit really well, leather is good, durable, and I like the normal studs instead of the traxion efforts.

You can also get those with a bit of red and black in them.

  18. Did you read my OP...? I don't want proper studs as I already have a pair of preds for grass. Need new boots fro firm ground and astro / 3G pitches...<ok>

Oh, and I prefer the pure white version <ok>

They are not studs, I meant the shape of the studs are rounded and not traxion.

They are pretty durable as well, I mean this summer it has been 100 degrees and our field has been turf and they survived it!

  20. Fair enough, can't say I have tried the moulded round studs. I would use them more on astro than anything else though, just don't get on with trainers at football <ok>
