We have made a new bid for Stewart according to SKY http://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/jump?http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11712/7417995/
If we can get Sharp, Kebe and Stewart along with a centre half and a midfielder then i think Nigel would of done a great job in the window
After Tunchev and Mills there is no back up. SSL has burnt his bridges and Bamba is at the african cup of nations
Two wingers would be ideal so we can actually get at teams. Think we need a driving midfield player, but who knows, actually have some pace and skill on the wings might relieve to pressure on the middle of the park
I really hope this club from somewhere "up north" is not going to be difficult over this..its not good form..what right do they have? stopping a young player bettering himself? its disgusting... I think its about time they learned how things are done in the big leagues they have been in it a couple of years now..they must surely no their place by now..
Bettering yourself is moving from a championship club in the top 8 to a mid table PL side. not to a club in a lower position in the championship. and if he has not asked for a transfer Hull are not showing bad form in stopping him "bettering himself"
I've read a few comments like this and TBF if it makes the situation for you any better then please feel free, as you say, it is likely to prove unsuccessful It's hardly a surprise that Pearson wants Stewart - He's a good player and we seriously need wide players - The first offer was derisory, but he was never going to go in with a massive offer. however, to go in so low may have been a tactical error as we may have wound up Hull even more - Can't be arsed with anymore speculation than that - We might get him, we might not
I predict that Dull will start to lose it´s better player between now & the start of next season & then they will be relegation foder in 2012/13 season... abit like Chav S**ty this season.
don't forget, the hull owner is far richer than ours..we can hold them to ransom..a tenner at least..
I have to agree that this is a waste of our time and there's, an extra £500,000 isn't going to make the difference. We should have doubled the offer, to the value of the lad, then if they turn us down, we'll get someone who is better value.
